I can think of a few candidates, here they are. Basing it off the most popular types of dragons we see in history/media since technically dragons can look like anything Draco lizards: Photo: user Psumuseum on wikimedia Pros: Has 4 limbs AND wings, very traditionally dragon like shape Cons: Tiny (fits in hand), wings aren't technically limbs (they're ribs [emoji=spiral scared size=1]), can only glide Olm: Photo: Arne Hodalic Pros: Serpentine, very dragon like head shape Cons: Tiny (school ruler size), amphibian not reptile Pterosaur: Photo: user Ghedoghedo on wikimedia (model from Natural History Museum Karlsruhe) Pros: BIG (biggest at 11m wingspan), can really fly Cons: The big ones have a weird body shape that reminds me more of giraffe than reptile This thing (yi qi) (a "scansiopteryid" dinosaur idk if I spelt that right): Restoration: Nobu Tamura Pros: Multiple fingered wings Cons: Tiny (regular bird size), likely couldn't achieve true flight Cast your votes... or (please) enlighten me of other candidates

Draco lizards:
1021px-Draco_taeniopterus_Gunther%2C_1861_from_Bulon.jpg
Photo: user Psumuseum on wikimedia

Pros: Has 4 limbs AND wings, very traditionally dragon like shape
Cons: Tiny (fits in hand), wings aren't technically limbs (they're ribs ), can only glide

Olm:
P_anguinus-head.jpg
Photo: Arne Hodalic

Pros: Serpentine, very dragon like head shape
Cons: Tiny (school ruler size), amphibian not reptile

Pterosaur:
1024px-Quetzalcoatlus_northropi_model.jpg
Photo: user Ghedoghedo on wikimedia (model from Natural History Museum Karlsruhe)

Pros: BIG (biggest at 11m wingspan), can really fly
Cons: The big ones have a weird body shape that reminds me more of giraffe than reptile

This thing (yi qi) (a "scansiopteryid" dinosaur idk if I spelt that right):
Yiqi_NT.jpg
Restoration: Nobu Tamura

Pros: Multiple fingered wings
Cons: Tiny (regular bird size), likely couldn't achieve true flight

May I offer the armadillo lizard as consideration? It's a very elongated wristbone. Those animals were weird. Since dragons traditionally come in all shapes and sizes, I'd say all of these classify. Also, I'd like to throw oarfish into the ring. They have been the basis of many sea dragon sightings. Thanks for the suggestions! Getting to see some great lizards (and one great fish) today.
May I offer the armadillo lizard as consideration?
@ShadowDragon606 Now that's a spicy looking creature. The ridged and spiked scales do give them a fierce dragony look! That makes it a bit similar to those "elbow struts" some dragon designs have (my first thought was all the wings of fire dragons but our Guardians have them too). Not quite in the same place, though! The pangolin is a dragon. To me Also this is cheating because its literally in the name but the caterpillar of the common nawab is also called the dragon headed caterpillar for obvious reasons EDIT: When i originally made this post i was going to add hoatzins but then i didnt but i just looked at this post again and realized who made this thread.
