Liminal spaces are also just any "between" spaces. Like beaches, the edge of a forest, dusk/dawn, staircases, etc. It's a thing that's not really here nor there, a transitory space, or yes, seeing a place empty that is intended to be active... schools, malls, abandoned houses, etc.
Regardless of the
time of day, pictures
like this always give me more creeps than an empty mall does, and
boat harbors at night? Nope nope nope...
But living too long in the PNW does that to you. :P

Ah yes, Zellers! A prime liminal space even before it went under. XD
Years ago, I once went there in the middle of the day and all of the lights were off, no music, security cameras were off, and not a single person could be seen anywhere inside... X'D
It was eerie, and even though they were open, I felt like I wasn't supposed to be there, so I left pretty quickly after checking an aisle.

sillybeast would absolutely love this forum. He recently went to an abandoned mall absolutely full of them, with a strange supermarket that seemed to go on forever, a random shallow pool at a dead end, brightly-coloured kids playgrounds placed into corners, and nobody else there. Its incredible and im going to check it out soon, but sadly the entire building is going to be knocked down. ive heard that the supermarket might be saved though...

I had a vivid dream the other night where I was wandering through a seemingly endless airport. Every time I tried to leave, it took me out onto another concourse.

Do tell! I also love abandoned malls, buildings, etc. There's two YouTube channels that come to mind that talk about abandoned or liminal spaces.
There's another channel that I watch that's all about abandoned buildings but they also like adding clickbaity titles like "spooooky ghost haunted oooooo" stuff like that. I think that's annoying lol.
