It Sunsets tomorrow.... Hard to believe it

I remember playing this game shortly after it first released. I was obsessed but got stuck on a few quests. I remember the first time I got my own Night Fury and couldn't resist just soaring around for hours. Hearing that it'll be shutting down makes me regret that I didn't play it more, but I could tell after keeping an eye on it for a while that it wasn't doing so good. At least I'll have my good memories of it after its gone.

I played this game for the last time, recently. Met a good portion of my still close online friends on it back when I was 12-13. Made my main dragon (a scauldron) titan-wing, finally went to some places I couldn't go before, and that's it

I thought I was the only person here who played it... I managed to get a bunch of screenshots of me and my favorite dragons before it went down. I'll share some X) ----- [img]https://i.imgur.com/c7whVr1.jpg[/img] This is of my Sand Wraith, Ghost, who was my first dragon on that viking and had been with me through so much wear-and-tear. [img]https://i.imgur.com/OaXSh7V.jpg[/img] [img]https://i.imgur.com/yIWIQAN.jpg[/img] And these are of my Deathgripper and Speed Stinger, who I don't remember the names of, who were some honorable mentions. ----- I have many others, but these were a few of my personal favorites. Call me crazy, but I'm currently working on a remembrance dragon for the game that I'm going to attempt to make it look like Dart.

Man now i wishes i played it...seems fun.

Also, people are using both sunset and shutdown- to my knowledge, a game sunset is when the game no longer receives updates, but a shutdown renders the game wholly unplayable and inaccesible. Or am i getting confused? The games gon a be unplayable, right? Hppe it jist will stop getting updates...

@Acetheaxolotl "sunset" is the term used in the graphic the SoD twitter account posted. the image broke in the post but the link still works. in the same tweet they say "the game goes offline and is no longer playable 6/30/2023" so, either they're interchangeable or they're using both terms on purpose. Either way, the game can no longer be downloaded and there is no official Dreamworks page for it. It's gone for good

Ima see if there are any god alternatives...then we can all migrate

It was fun while it lasted....

...oh well, maybe something similar will pop up eventually.

On the silver lining side, i saw a video on the topic mentioning a fangame, so there's hope for that.
