i understand the arguments in favor of the sun, but i do not fear him. his smile is one of utter arrogance - he does not know that by interacting with the mortal realm by scooping those raisins on the cover, he has made himself vulnerable. he has dragged himself down from the heavens to earth and because of this mistake he will never rise again. tony the tiger has my vote
not entirely a cereal mascot per se but i would like to give an honorable mention to the sour patch kids on the box of the sour patch kids cereal. it is not uncommon for a cereal brand to turn those little pieces into a collective of Creatures. cinnamon toast crunch, krave, etc. but those sour patch kids are above them. they know things that their competitors do not. i am convinced that in enough numbers they could swarm almost any other mascot and take them down with sheer ruthless teamwork
