TOPIC | Looking for music with a 'spooky' vibe.
Inspired by all the other 'looking for music' threads, I figured I'd post and see if anyone can add to my collection of very specific vibes. The title isn't... exactly right because it's too short, sorry.

I'm basically looking for music that says 'I went too far into the woods/the ocean/a vampire den/a cave/wherever and woke up something (supernatural, probably) that I really shouldn't have'. Or 'being lured into the woods/ocean/etc. by something supernatural' is also good.

What I have so far:

The entirety of Glass Animals' album Zaba, but especially Pools, Wyrd, Toes and Walla Walla.
Ego Likeness - South, Queen of All Things Taken
Kiltro - Curicó, Lovers
Hozier - In the Woods Somewhere, Like Real People Do
The Amazing Devil - The Horror and the Wild
The Pogues - Lorelei
Galdorcraeft - Garden of Bones
Bastille - Skulls
The Oh Hellos - Torches, Thus Always to Tyrants
(Torches is about a cult so I guess cults also count? And apparently Thus Always is actually religious and not about vampires but I heard 'sad vampire' and won't be budged)

I'm not picky about genre, they don't have to have on-the-nose lyrics or anything, just. Something for my brain to latch onto.

Try the album Strange Trails by Lord Huron, and also The Woods by San Fermin!

I'm not sure if this fits your bill, but some of the more eerie songs I like are:
Honey Whiskey; nothing but thieves, Daydream in Blue; I Monster, and The Fruits; Paris Paloma!

I'm just gonna drop Myuuji's youtube channel in this thread:
https://www.youtube.com/@Myuu/videos
If you watch any horror youtubers, chances are you're already familiar with his music. He does athmospheric piano pieces. Edit: FR does not like him having an @ in his url. Sorry for the accidental ping.

HELL YES ZABA is a great choice. I'd also recommend some of the singles that came out around its release, specifically Exxus and Golden Antlers.

I'm gonna throw out a couple other songs:
-Nazjatar Rise from the World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth OST (it's a spotify link because I can't find a youtube video of JUST this song by itself, it's always in a compilation of other songs from the OST. It's also available on itunes/apple music.)
-The Palantir by David Arkenstone (same composer as the first song lol? did not plan that)
-Whispers of Dark Spirits from the Assassin's Creed: Valhalla OST. It sorta turns into a more action-y song near the end but the beginning is definitely fairly creepy.
-There Are No Innocents from the Castlevania show's OST. A personal favorite of mine, ngl.
-Umbra Hills from Critical Role's soundtrack that they apparently have which I accidentally learned while looking for music for this post.

A tired and slightly bored-looking night elf woman with short green hair and a burn scar on her left cheek, looking directly at the viewer. She's standing in front of a height chart for a mugshot, and her nose is bleeding.A night elf woman with purple facial tattoos and purple hair, looking at the viewer with a cocky grin. She's also standing against a height chart for a mugshot.

I don’t want to repeat things that other people have said, but I will absolutely agree with “The Woods” and “That Unwanted Animal”! I also think “Owl Song” and “Nightjar”, both by Cosmo Sheldrake, are other good ones. They’re both pretty atmospheric songs. I also think that “Parasites” by San Fermin is good, it has a pretty different energy than the last two I suggested, but it’s pretty spooky. It’s also from the same album as the previously mentioned song, “The Woods”, so if you like that you’ll probably like this one as well.

Thank you guys so much! I'm still going through the songs but I'm loving them so far. That whole Lord Huron album is perfect, how did I miss it? A couple of songs people suggested (Honey Whiskey and That Unwanted Animal) are so perfect I actually already had them and just didn't put them in the post. [emoji=undertide laughing size=1]
