Here is the sketch I did of him.
He's got mostly unusual traits compared to a typical tiefling, but from what I can tell tiefling are supposed to have wild amounts of variation amongst themselves anyways.

Thanks, It was the DM's idea. Plus it gave her another reason as a kid to follow Glitz (Blue Half-Dragon) around. She was a rather funny kid. Her logic was "He has scales, I have scales. He has a tail, I have a tail. He has horns, I have horns. BEST FRIENDS!" *follows him*

I was really proud of how he came out but when I posted him none of my friends really said anything
I always do names last so definitely no with that. Although tiefling names seem like they'd be easier! (since some tieflings choose a name based on a concept or ideal that is important to them)
I was originally thinking cleric, but I couldn't imagine him being the type to worship a deity so that was out. So now I'm kinda not sure?? so now I'm sort of stuck. I was thinking a caster class? but I could also see him as a rogue too...
The idea is that he is a tiefling that is pure white in color and was able to pass as a creature of light and live in this small, isolated human settlement relatively peacefully for quite a few years, until an outsider came along and recognized his infernal heritage. The humans after that wanted nothing to do with the "demon" who had "lied to them" and he had to flee. He didn't really intend to lie to them, but they made the assumption first, and a tiefling knows better than to look a gift horse in the mouth.
He made his way to a big city and ended up living on the streets for awhile, scraping by, taking pretty much any job that he could manage to find. He's quite good at dazzling people on the occasion that he actually decides to speak, so he did a pretty decent job finding work for himself, but he's still on the look out for something more... substantial and providing which is where a "going on a mystical adventure" plot could come in (if i ever got around to using him in an actual campaign)

I'm trying to make a new character now since this campaign is ending and I'm playing in another one, but boy is it a Struggle. I can't decide on a race OR a class OR a name aaaaaa
might play as a mystic though, that one seems interesting.

Meet Holly Swift, the Neutral Good druid, pure sweetness in tiefling form. A truly shocking number of intended combat situations were avoided because Holly made friends with the potential antagonists. It was practically impossible to [I]not[/I] like her, once they got past her demonic ancestry (maternal grandma was a succubus). God, that sounds Mary-Sue-ish, but that's how it was!
Her sweetness and oneness with nature both stemmed from the fact that her father was a wizard who lived in a tower in the woods in the middle of nowhere, so Holly grew up isolated from civilization for the most part, never having to deal with being treated poorly for being a tiefling simply because she hardly ever interacted with people at all.
Not pictured is her Deinonychus companion, Lona (or as the DM jokingly called her, Raptor-chan) who was the lone survivor found in a ruined caravan transporting exotic (and probably illegal) animals, and was rescued by Holly.
She started her existence as a character in a playthrough of Neverwinter Nights 2 before being ported into a tabletop game and developing into possibly my favorite D&D character ever. Her go-to shapeshift ended up being a Pteranodon, despite not originally being dinosaur-themed.

They are like spines, but more frill-like in nature. I was hoping that it would stay in line with the tiefling variations, but I wasn't too sure. They are kind of like a thicker and hardier version of this guy's spines:

Paladingineer oh man she looks awesome!!! Those boots :O :O :O dang tho you really pulled it off! Fur is hard to draw imo
Idk she doesn't sound like a Mary Sue to me! Oooo my one is neutral good too! She's not very nice though haha
and it's kinda weird because she has a criminal background but my idea is that she found strength in numbers and she wanted to find her brother who was taken by slavers when she was like...10. her mother went after him to try to get him back but disappeared on the way, so Tyra was left alone and ended up on the streets. She joined some kind of gang for protection and figured that the dark underbelly of the city would be more likely to know where captured sorcerers would go. I'm so glad tho, I told my DM this backstory and he worked it into the campaign so that my party ended up finding Tyra's brother!! I think after the campaign the two of them will try to find their mom :D
Awwwww going into society and finding out about discrimination must have been a terrible shock :(
