TOPIC | Consequences of Super Powers.[Done]

@Pieeee
You can move and reshape metals with your mind at will, however your control isn't of specific objects but of the metals themselves, and all instances of that metal within your controllable radius.

This means that an attempt to, say, reduce iron bars to a puddle, all matter containing significant traces of iron would (including iron heavy alloys) within range of your powers would also become a puddle.

How about the ability to control your size? (Growing and shrinking)

@Jonthebaker
The constant growing and shrinking causes your body to become loose and unstable.
With this in mind your skeleton is no longer able to hold you upright and after a time you cannot support any of your own weight.

What about talking to animals?

Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?
@Tepioka
Animals don't really have the mental capacity or mutual experiences to hold a meaningful conversation. Plus, no wild or feral animals seem to want to talk to you as, surprise surprise, humans are seen as pretty terrible creatures across all boards in the animal kingdom.
Tldr, ends up being a cool party trick but leaves you emotionally unsatisfied.

What about the power of mind control? Seems fun to be able to make your enemies cause their own downfall.

The ability to control minds would be extremely hard to control, the risk of getting people to do things you didn't intend to would be exceptionally high even after many years of having the ability. Not to mention everything that comes with using your powers to hurt people, the moral issues, the issues coming with being wrong about someone, and finding out things you never wanted to know/see. With the mind as fragile as it is, telling the mind to do something it couldn't do would easily break someone mentally.

What would the downfall be of having the power to edit video games as you play them? Aka, despawn monsters, edit cut scenes, make the bad guy into a good guy, or even making minecraft into a realistic world

@Remos You could end up making games ridiculously easy, to the point where you could become an all-powerful being within those games. It's unfair to other players, and it takes away from the fun and challenge that comes from playing video games. Plus, the ability to tailor video games the way you want could just result in you playing out your fantasies. No one else would want anything to do with that.

Hmmm...how about...the ability to fly?

In order to fly, you'd have to have arms or wings that are strong enough to lift you off of the ground and keep you in the air, despite all of your body weight. Your arms would end up being super muscular probably, and they would be out of proportion in relation to the rest of your body. You would be seen as "that one weird person with really big arms". If you had wings, you would have a hard time fitting through doors and such. (I just made this all up just now, so sorry if it doesn't make any sense)

What about the ability to live in any fictional universe? So like being in animes, books, movies, or just living in a world that you just imagined.

@PurpleHibiscus

If you live in an already established world, you must follow its rules and deal with its problems. For example, if you lived in the Pokémon universe, depending on your age, you might not be able to get a starter Pokémon from the regional professor, and be stuck as the NPC on the rainy route with a level 25 Pidgeotto or some nonsense.

If you live in a world of your own creation, unless you also have the ability to alter the world as you live in it, if you forget to create a detail, it's not going to be present. Did you forget who or what the mayor of the capital city was? Now that entire city is living in lawless anarchy. Shame on you!

Can we find the drawbacks to...
...time travel?

Hey, friendly reminder to drink water, stretch, and take a short break if you can. Stay healthy! Also, don't forget about any chores or tasks you might be putting off.
@lamarqueisdead
You don't WANT to know all the paradoxes that can happen. Seriously, you don't. You could kill your parents, erasing you from existence, but if you never existed, you never could kill your parents, so they have to be alive, which means you existed so you killed them...

How about being able to fly? Say you had a pair of giant wings on your back.

@StormDragon21

First of all, having a giant pair of wings would be an incredibly burden to carry - not to mention the social stigma that comes with being a winged freakshow in a world of hairless apes. Your wings would have to be massive in order to lift your weight, and your bones would probably be hollow just so you'd be light enough to get off the ground. Thus, you have incredibly fragile bones. You might also suffer from lung or heart issues due to the stress long-term flight can cause on your human body.

Tl;dr - Lots of social stigma for being a carnival freak, weak bones, heart/lung issues.

What about the ability to make drawings come to life?

And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone, there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

I can see two problems:
A: You can't control what you bring to life. Bring to life a bear? Maybe it just wants to be by itself, and lumbers off. Or maybe it's hungry, and since you brought it to life you're the closest thing around.
B: You can't draw well. Maybe you wanted a paraglider, but you accidentally got a scrap of cloth. You might have wanted a cat, but it's interpreted as a wolf.

How about Invulnerability to bullets?
