I can't remember exactly how long I've been writing, but the earliest known record/story that I've been told about me writing any sort of story was when I was in kindergarten. One account says that it was a story about me sailing on a boat with my father (even though I never have sailed and it was probably because he was in the Navy on a submarine, so being a kid I must've mistook a sub for a boat...), but my brain recalls the story being about a family of hearts. Dunno which was the real one. :T
Currently, I'm in the process of two-ish projects. One being a kind of dystopian cyberpunk tale (which got inspired by things like Deus Ex: Human Revolution and the Metal Gear series) where the city- currently unnamed- is under the tyrannical rule of a sole company known as Angelus. Angelus is known for making a kind of serum known as "biotics" that- in essence- improve humans by giving them some sort of enhanced ability, be it greater strength, adept at a certain skill, or something that you'd see from X-Men like telekinesis. But there's also people that are created completely from that serum as well, so they're their own breed/species of being.
The project is split into three sections. The first one focuses on the leader of an underground group of rebels named Mordecai who originally worked for Angelus, but defected later on down the line. He hasn't been able to get close to the CEO of Angelus to deal damage, so he's kind of stuck. The second part- which needs an awful lot of polishing- brings in Nero, a cyborg, and the third part- which also needs a lot of polishing- brings in a spec ops soldier by the name of Faith.
My second-ish project is a horror/mystery... um... thing. I'm deciding on whether or not to make it a comic or just write it out. |D; But it's based on a dream I had years ago that where an escaped convict comes across a girl that looks like the girlfriend he had murdered and he's looking for answers. The dream ended really weird, but I liked the entire concept and I modified it slightly.
It's still the same basic premise of the escaped convict- now named Austin Gardener- coming across a girl that looks suspiciously like his girlfriend- named Destinee Caprice- that he is certain he had killed. The run in causes him to wonder if he really did kill her and, before that, he wonders WHY he killed her. All Austin remembers after killing her is saying that "she had to die" to the police that had come into the scene years ago, but he believes that to be complete bullsh*t. So his main goal is to find out who that girl really is and why he killed his girlfriend. However, he does have an obstacle to face: a strange young man by the name of Ian. Ian... is a character and a half. He knows a lot more than he lets on, taunts and teases Austin at every possible moment, and is just an all-around malicious person to be near.
There's also some side-stories/side-plots with other characters: a rookie police cop who is convinced that something is fishy with Austin's confession, a pair of paranormal investigators that are brother and sister that are drawn to the weirdness of the city that Austin lives in, and Destinee herself.
... Wow. That got wordy. Sorry. |>;
