Thank you so much, I really have no idea what to expect and the dragon cave forums are laid out in a way i find confusing, so all of this information is super valuable! ^_^

I've picked up an egg from the abandoned eggs tab that is related to another person's dragons.
This may be a less clear and more complicated thing to answer, but how does the community tend to respond to when someone else ends up with your hatchling? Does it affect their lineage tree?
Is it like FR where that's generally seen as a good thing, because the lineage will continue and that's neat, or is opinion different? Do i need to keep that in mind when naming the dragon in the future or leaving the dragon unnamed?
I know there's probably no hard and fast rule or standard here, but I want to participate in good courtesy, such as how here on FR it's polite to name dragons even if it's not required.

Do not worry about asking, I'm more than glad to be of help!
From personal experience I can tell you that people who work on their lineages do just that, they like building "stairs" or "checkers" and keep some special hatchlings for themselves but if you find them on the AP it means they are extras from all the breeding (if you breed more eggs than what you're allowed, they get automatically released to the AP).

They can be quite valuable if you're looking to trade depending on generation and how well the lineage is built but other than that you are free to do as you please.
If I were to find something that may tick people off is having dead progeny so maybe if you're planning on getting undead versions of Xenowyrms (one of the rarer breeds) I'd suggest breeding your own fodder or trying your luck with CBs.
Also, unlike on FR having unnamed dragons is totally ok seeing as every single name must be unique, no two dragons can have the same name on the site so many just prefer to keep the codes!

finally found the dragon cave thread yes >:O
i appear to be constantly hatching new dragons and trying to fit every single hatchling and egg into my bio because
a. i keep changing my bio layout because aethetic and im bad at making decisions
b. need more room to fit the hatchlings grrr
c. keep learning new things about bbcode
i cant be the only one who does this right
