MONEY WASTED.

Are you into gore/torture porn?
"Solas, have I ever wanted to hear one of your endless explanations? Ever."
Horror. *Shudders* I am easily terrified by horror. I looked up FNAF and had nightmares for a week. If you like horror, I suppose you should do that.

@@tabeabd you should look for it! Donnie Darko is wonderful, and it's on of those movies you can look for deeper meaning afterwards. Well maybe after the second time you watch it because it's definitely a movie you need to see twice!

@ArchieHicox I've definitely heard mixed reviews on Unfriended but if it comes on Netflix I'd be willing to give it a shot!

Hmm. I'm definitely into gore! What do you suggest :)

@ShardofSun lol aww! I have watched some let's plays of FNAF! I can see why it scared you!

Road to Wyrmwood is an Australian zombie movie, like Evil Dead meets Mad Max. Tons of gorey, swearing fun for everyone!

On that note, all of the Evil Dead movies. The remake is the grittiest and Army of Darkness is cheesy 80s slapstick and never fails to make me laugh.

I'm hesistant to call Gremlins 1 & 2 horror moives, but they have monsters in them so w/e. But who doesn't want to watch tiny evil green things wreck everything they can get their lil paws on?

Creepshow is an anthology horror flim screenplayed by Steven King and directed by George A. Romero. 5 stories for the price of one!

I can't say much about Cabin in the Woods without spoiling it, but it's written by Steven Moffat and has pre-Thor Chris Hemsworth in it.

totally not biased to 70s-80s movies wat r u talkin bout

"Would You Rather" is really great I just watched it the other night. It is not popular, but is well written and still has the horror aspects without having any (I think?) jumpscares. Yes, it is on Netflix!

If you're one for gradual suspense over cliche jump scare gore, I fully recommend the 1980 movie The Fog. The movie's slow pace manages to lull the viewer into a false sense of security and "oh, look at this pretty little coastal town" before... yeah.... lot of subtle stuff.

Salem's Lot is also a great vampire movie from the 80s with a brilliant story behind it as well.

If you're in for something animated and can stomach the gore, then there's the German film Felidae. Will warn you now, it's quite graphic and there's some psychologically disturbing stuff in there (animal abuse, fascism/genocide and the death of a pregnant cat), so it might not be for everyone.

As for one of my all time favourite horror films... CLASS OF 1984. Just. Yes.
Warning, due to the fact '84 is a cult classic punk film, there's a lot of extreme content including drug use, prostitution, animal abuse (staged?) violence against children, pro-nazi references and the big kicker, non-consensual sex scene. I do NOT recommend this film for the faint of heart or those who are easily triggered by this type of content.

@soulpunkd
I want to see Donnie Darko, The Butterfly Effect and Fight Club all in the same universe plzkthx.

SHARE ALL THE 80S. DO IT.

Of course, I'd recommend the classic - Hostel I & II. Third one isn't from Eli Roth, and that pretty much explains why it's trash and has nothing to do with the other two, beside the organization's called "Elite Hunting".
Then, Hellraiser. But that has been mentioned before already.
Ichi the Killer is sooo badly edited, but it so much fun to watch, ahahaha.
The French three; Martyrs, Frontier(s) and High Tension. Waw.
The two Collector movies. Love 'em.
I Spit on Your Grave, the remake, and also I Spit on Your Grave II.
The Last House On The Left might not be gore, but definitely one of my fave horrors.
Also not necessarily gore would be The Vengeance Trilogy. The original Oldboy, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance and Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance. Choi Min-sik makes a great killer, so you should also check out I Saw the Devil.

There are more, but I guess it's enough for the moment x3

@ShardofSun slenderman is a lot of fun if you play it with someone! I mean if you're scared easily I guess you might not think it's fun, but I did! lol

@Souperal I haven't heard of that! Would love to branch into foreign films and I love the Evil Dead series! Sounds like a good choice.
Also the evil dead remake! I may or may not have seen that in theaters four times...whoops! It was truly an awesome movie though, stand alone and as a remake~

I so need to see Gremlins. Even if it's not horror or what have you they're kind of infamous movies/creatures and I just need to experience that for myself!

I did start Creepshow once upon a time...and did I watch it all? I honestly do not remember, I think my dad watched it with me when I was younger. Needs to be seen again!

And I have seen Cabin in the Woods. I won't say anything for others but I Iiked it! Definitely an interesting take on the genre.

and it's okay, I think I am too. Spread all that 70s and 80s cheese around.

@MystriDragon oh it is on Netflix? Me and a friend of mine wanted to watch it a while ago because we would play the game 'would you rather' all the time!
That's good to know! Thanks :D

@BlackStatic Wow! Lots of unheard of suggestions! I think I definitely saw the remake of The Fog...if there is a remake of it? I thought it was a remake anyways. I'll look it up either way!

Thanks for the warnings on the other movies though! I'm not easily phased by much but it's good to know what I'm getting into, especially the animal abuse because I love animals!
Regardless they all sound very interesting, especially Class of 1984 w/ all the warnings you're giving me, I'm definitely gonna watch that!
Thank you!

@ArchieHicox ah yes, Hostel. I think my only encounter with the Hostel series was the third one, maybe got to see the first twenty minutes. I've heard a lot about them though! I should for sure watch them and I will~
Are you a big fan of Eli Roth's?
Like, what do you make of The Green Inferno? Have you seen it? I know it's not theatrically released but it's been seen by some. I'm just curious about it~

But whoa! Thank you for all the suggestions! I haven't heard of most of them! I'm gonna have a list a mile long of horror films I need to watch lol

Kinda surprised these weren't mentioned yet, but if you don't care about losing sleep to a movie VHS and Grave Encounters are perfect for ya. BE warned though they both have a lot, and I mean A LOT, of gore and death in them |D watching them with friends is the best, everyone gets so twitchy and you end up laughing at being afraid of the AC kicking on
