i've been screaming non-stop since fe: if was announced that red-and-white color scheme is my aesthetic and i'm jumping for it #hoshido4life ... then again, that's just me going with the "pick a side and pray" mindset. @Manah i can't say anything about the characters personality-wise since i can't read Japanese, but so far, i like Cyrus, Hinata, and Rinka the most. @AtheistPaladin [quote name="AtheistPaladin" date=2015-05-31 11:40:22]On another note, the art for Ike and Marth looks great. Here are some translated character profiles from the Japanese website!

I don't trust Orochi. I have never met an Orochi in a game or anime who hasn't turned out to be malevolent (or at least very shady), and she even looks a bit snake-y.
... I still like her, though. :') I'm gonna be playing Hoshido after I finish Nohr.

@Manah I'm so glad that Rinka's outfit doesn't objectify her body. The bandage-binding is a bit awkward, but it's certainly a nice change from all of the objectifying female armor.
@Afrien @Foxofwonders This is kinda veering into WMG territory, but what if Nishiki is a fox taguel? What if fox taguel in Hoshido are more common than rabbit taguel in Ylisse? wHAT IF ALL THE TAGUEL AREN'T DEAD, AND THERE'S HOPE?!

Nishiki's profile states that he's a Fox Spirit, so it's not directly stating he's Taguel. He's also the clan leader taking care of his people, I think this means there are more awesome fox peeps around :)
I used to think Hoshido and Ylisse were in different worlds, but the presence of Severa Luna makes me doubt it. Maybe they're on the same world but in a different location and/or time then, making it possible he's a Taguel or related to Taguels.

I like to burst bubbles, I probably shouldn't because people have neat ideas, but it comes from my tendency to over-analyze everything....

The taguel themselves are descendants of a race called the Laguz from what's assumed to be one of the Outrealms (specifically Tellius). Most of the FE games aren't actually related in terms of world, Awakening used the Outrealm to retcon a connection between Akaneia/Ylisse to every other world for the sake of fan service.

That being said, based on the Eastern style that Hoshido draws its aesthetic from, it's safe to assume that Nishiki is in fact exactly what they call him, a fox spirit, and is not related to the taguel/laguz. The only way I see it being connected is if the spirits are the precursor to the Laguz and the game is set before the events in Tellius, but the Amiibo support would suggest against that.

It is a fun idea though.
