The Clobber/Boss Bonker

Welcome to the last high-level build you'll ever need!

This is a dragon that will turn any 2 fighters it's paired with into an unstoppable boss-killing unit. This dragon will cost you 45g total and any random unstatted lvl 25.

You don't even need an Eliminate.

Do you want to:
 • Never reset in a venue again?
 • Kill bosses without taking a single hit on your team?
 • START on a boss, then kill it without any prep?
 • Grind lvl 25 venues hitless with no RNG involved?
 • Have this work starting from a lvl 15 dragon?

Check it out.

The Build

The Basics

The Clobber is disgustingly cheap to build.

You need 110 QCK, and at minimum the following battlestones:
Meditate
Clobber Haste
Scholar Scholar Scholar
Ambush Ambush OR Discipline
Remember to add stats to your dragon after adding the battlestones.

Scholar stones are added because they cost a grand total of 1 or 1000 each, and they provide QCK to your dragon.

Shopping List - Essentials

Follow the links to be taken to the cheapest listing for these battlestones. It should not take you more than 45g/kt to kit out a Clobber.

Meditate

Scholar

Ambush Discipline

What can I do with a Clobber?

There are a number of options for this build, depending on what you want to do. The stats will not change for any of these options, only the additional battlestones, whether you're running Ambush/Discipline, and where you put your Clobber in the team.

The Clobber is meant to be very intuitive to use. Also, incredibly cheap to respec into either option.

Please read on for the builds.

Deathless Grinder

Runs 1 Ambush, 1 Discipline.
Requires two 133 STR/37+ QCK teammates.
Used to stunlock bosses indefinitely and make regular grinding completely hitless.

You have two flexible battlestone slots; I recommend Contuse and Regenerate.

This starts on bosses with 100% winrate.

For Bosses:
 • Put the Clobber at the end of your team.
 • For starting on bosses, have a fighter Haste the Clobber once. The Clobber should Meditate, Meditate, Clobber the boss.
 • Scratch with your fighters.
 • Clobber and Meditate between boss turns. Repeat. Rally your fighters if you want.

For regular grinding:

Have two fighters Scratch and Elim two enemies. Clobber will stun the third.

The Clobber even has an extra turn to stun 4-pack mobs. You can use that extra turn to heal off unlucky dodges, build breath back up, or whatever else.

If you have extra breath or turns, use the Clobber to Contuse the remaining enemy twice. Two Contuses from the Clobber is equivalent to a Scratch from a 133, allowing the next dragon in the turn order to Eliminate the enemy immediately.

FAQ Q: What if the boss dodges? Always clobber first on 2-turns so you can clobber again if this happens. Always meditate and then clobber on 3-turns and meditate again to build up breath. Q: Do I need a level 25 for this? Lvl 25 is so you can hit 140 QCK with 110 QCK in stats and a lvl 25 Haste. You need a Haste because you have a breath deficit of -5 each turn without it; with Discipline, you don't need it. Q: What melee dragons can I pair with this? For bosses only: Anything with scratch that does any amount of damage to a boss. Obviously this will go a lot faster with dragons that do more damage, but I feel like you could reasonably kill Workshop bosses with lvl 19s if you wanted to. For general grinding: Fighters that can Scratch + Eliminate any enemy in the Portal/Workshop. This requires 133 STR/40 QCK (37 without Tincture). For a general grinder, this is a flexible build that you want anyway for other venues. Q: Help! Something is wrong with my turn order! Running Disclipine will help with this a lot. You'll be at the mercy of a single hit at the beginning of the battle, but the extra breath procs often enough. You'll even have the breath to skip a Meditate/Haste and cast a Regen, Rally, or elemental attack at the boss. There's a lot of flexibility here. Try playing a few battles with it and see how it works. I'm working on a writeup for the 2-dragon trainer version of this build. You'll need Contuse, 2 Ambush and a melee fighter with the stats below. You can try it and figure out yourself what it's meant to do before I finish the guide! Some fun challenges: What's the lowest levelled pair of fighters you can use to kill a boss with?

I remember reading through mothscale's thread when they offhandedly mentioned clobber, and you first started experimenting and discovered how surprisingly useful it can be! I had never given clobber a second glance before either, and am very excited to try out this build! Thank you so much for making this guide with the stat/stone recommendations, it's very helpful! ^u^
