TOPIC | G&G Hard Mode Made Easy Edition
Introduction
This guide’s purpose is to help you complete Hard mode on Glimmer & Gloom as easy as possible. When I first started I saw some recommendations to play G&G because it was a quick way to get treasure. The first time I tried, I immediately gave up. Then the next day I came back to it because I was poor determined. It took some time, and there was a lot of muttering under my breath about the black magic witchcraft that was this game, but EVENTUALLY! I figured it out and helped one of my friends learn the tricks too.

I wrote this up originally to be a reference for us both, but then figured I’d share with the community as well!

There are other guides that go into more depth about Glimmer & Gloom, and those resources will be linked below. Check them out too! They are helpful and I used all of them at one point or another when I was learning.

I will be referring to the tiles as their shape - Hexagon.

Row 2 and Row 3 Now I’m repeating that process for Row 2 and Row 3. Remember, we are clicking the bottom right hexagon to the hexagon we want flipped. Proceed from Left to Right, focusing on Row 2 first, and then Row 3. Remember this like reading a book - You aren’t rereading sentences nor skipping any to the next paragraph. Just left to right, one row at a time. Row 4 These rows are ‘harder’ but only in the sense that you will need to remember a few tricks for them. These tricks won’t be needed unless you have an odd number of tiles to flip on that row. The premise starts off the same - solve by clicking the bottom right hexagon to the tile you want to flip. As you can see, I end up with a tile at the end of Row 4 that has no bottom right to click under. Here is the trick for Row 4 - you will then click every tile in that row, and then solve like normal. So from Left to Right in Row 4, click each tile one time. Then proceed to solve by clicking the bottom right hexagon to flip your tiles. Here is how I remember this trick, and its a little funky so totally understand if you don’t like the tip but: Row 4 is the longest row, thus it gets the most clicks! Row 5 Once again solve this like normal (bottom right method), if you reach the end and have 1 tile remaining, proceed like this: In Row 1, you will click the Second tile. And then just solve like normal once again! I promise it really is that simple. By clicking the Second tile in Row 1, you create the setup you need to have an even number of tiles to solve Row 5. Row 6 If you are lucky, you have an even tile amount and you can insta solve it. If not, then we proceed with these steps: In Row 1, you will click the Third tile. And then just solve like normal once again! I promise it really is that simple. By clicking the Third tile in Row 1, you create the setup you need to have an even number of tiles to solve Row 6. And that’s all you gotta do! I hope this guide is informative and helpful. Hard mode earns you 1600 treasure per win, which means you need to do 47 games to max out the Fairgrounds for that day. I find that my matches take anywhere between 10 seconds to 30 seconds, and I’m usually done within 20 minutes. Guide

Select ‘Hard’ mode. In this guide I will be solving in favor of Shadow, but you can pick Light, the guide will still work either way.
Row 1

FqeVWoE.png

The first three rows are the easiest - you will solve all of these the same way.

Method: Click the bottom right hexagon to the hexagon that you are flipping, as pictured below.

If it doesn’t make sense, don’t worry. The first dozen times I won a match of G&G, I kept muttering “But how did I win?”

This is the big trick: Bottom Right

You will (almost) always be clicking the Bottom Right to solve the puzzle. Remember that first. Everything else you can take screenshots to reference, but the game will go so fast if you get the muscle memory down to click Bottom Right to the hexagon you want flipped.
Row 2 and Row 3

Now I’m repeating that process for Row 2 and Row 3.

Row 4

These rows are ‘harder’ but only in the sense that you will need to remember a few tricks for them. These tricks won’t be needed unless you have an odd number of tiles to flip on that row.

pHOxCPl.png

The premise starts off the same - solve by clicking the bottom right hexagon to the tile you want to flip.

d5TqA1Y.gif

As you can see, I end up with a tile at the end of Row 4 that has no bottom right to click under. Here is the trick for Row 4 - you will then click every tile in that row, and then solve like normal.

So from Left to Right in Row 4, click each tile one time. Then proceed to solve by clicking the bottom right hexagon to flip your tiles.

Here is how I remember this trick, and its a little funky so totally understand if you don’t like the tip but: Row 4 is the longest row, thus it gets the most clicks!
Row 5

Once again solve this like normal (bottom right method), if you reach the end and have 1 tile remaining, proceed like this:

l1Xhrlh.png

In Row 1, you will click the Second tile. And then just solve like normal once again! I promise it really is that simple. By clicking the Second tile in Row 1, you create the setup you need to have an even number of tiles to solve Row 5.

Row 6

If you are lucky, you have an even tile amount and you can insta solve it. If not, then we proceed with these steps:

HGwpad0.png

In Row 1, you will click the Third tile. And then just solve like normal once again! I promise it really is that simple. By clicking the Third tile in Row 1, you create the setup you need to have an even number of tiles to solve Row 6.

And that’s all you gotta do!

I hope this guide is informative and helpful.
