@Maki Thanks, I totally missed that. For the Forbidden Portal, between the 2 training builds you offered: "Forbidden Portal farming / training - 133 STR | 40 QCK | 6 VIT (x2)" , and "Forbidden Portal trainers 108 INT / 82 QCK / 27 VIT + 111 STR / 82 QCK / 15 VIT" which would you recommend to train a dragon to level 25? Thanks

@MarinaQuakenbush

A mage will slow you down (9 turns/battle against the 3-packs instead of 7 turns), but it's easier to defeat the bosses if you have a mage in your team.

@Maki having just trained one dragon to 25 in the GW with Mage + Fighter, I'm wondering if the gain in battles/round is off-set by the squishiness -- a 133str fighter sounds like it would have to reset a lot more often. Do you have any data on that?

@xianvar

Golem Workshop is a much more difficult venue than Forbidden Portal, you need a mage in your training team (and even in your farming team if you want to fight the bosses).

@Maki Ooh now I understand what was happening, thanks! Then I assume this is also why it's much faster to train in FP than GW?

Edit: Are there estimates on how long it takes to train a dragon to 25 using a fighter + mage instead of two 133str fighters? It still sounds so incredibly squishy to me, and one thing I appreciated about fighter + mage in the GW was that I virtually never had to reset while training.

@Maki

I'm really sorry to bother you, and please forgive me if this is there and I've missed it.

In your wonderful long list of Coli builds, you often include how to handle the first round, like here for the Forbidden Portal:
Quote:
First battle
Haste, then Scratch. The best packs are 2-packs, or 3-packs of mages: the starting pack is important if you have only two dragons.

And how to handle the bosses, like this example, also for the Forbidden Portal:
Quote:
Bosses:
Use Haste, then Rally: you need Rally Eliminate x6 (or Rally Eliminate x4 + Rally Scratch x5) to defeat the bosses.

I'm about to try the Golem Workshop, but I can't find your advice on how to deal with the first battle or the bosses. Could you please point me in the right direction?

Also, one question about the Mage (I'm not good with Mages). The mage I have is 129 INT | 50 QCK | 13 VIT, but you recommend 129 INT | 40 QCK | 29 VIT. Can you clarify why the lower QCK?

Thank you so much for all you do!

Kleos
The pursuit and celebration of glorious action. Those who pursue Kleos must be willing to leave everything behind, seeking glory above all else. Those who achieve Kleos are heroes. They have become immortal through their actions and achieve the immortal honor of serving the glory of Glittermom, the Light Weaver.
Eternal renown, immortal fame - - Kleos is imperishable
@Bantymom

The mage uses Haste on the fighters, the fighters use Scratch, then Eliminate. Same for boss battles, only the mage has to Contuse the boss at the beginning.

Regarding QCK, while you still have the same 6 Ambush turns, the turn order could change in the second round if the dragons have different QCK.

@Maki hi! I was wondering how you arrived at the expected elims/100 battles (and expected eggs/100 battles): how big is the data pool? I assume you arrived at these rates experimentally, so I was wondering about the confidence intervals.

and are the drop rates only for applicable enemies, or is the drop rate over _all_ enemies in the coli?
