I have a few!
It's fun having dragons with lineages (sometimes that makes it easier for me to come up with names). I also don't shy away from re-gening them.
Currently in my lair:
Levothy (adopted),
Meurig (hatchery purchase),
Gacrux (from a swap thread),
PureGenTwo (AH purchase, might be renamed in the future)
In my hibden:
Boye (AH purchase),
SherrySherry (hatchery purchase),
Lampyrini (adopted)
So, 7 total.
Unreleated, I also accidentally adopted
a pure 3rd gen.

I think I still have a few I haven't exalted, for projects, as I have bought cheap G1s with needed colors for breeding projects.
I was surprised one time when I found out an Imperial I bought for a project is a Gen 3. Her maternal grandmother is a Gen 1 Imp born in 2013.

Only a handful of Imperials! A lot of Imperials I have aren't G2 but G3+.

I've got a few, but it's mostly bc I breed my G1s together sometimes and keep any kids I like

I have a bunch!
- 9 of my own progen kids
- 14 from my custom progen x his g1 girlfriend
- 12 progen kids from other clans
- 7 misc
I keep track in his bio:

I don't intentionally collect them (although I'd like a pure G2 Imperial) but I have:
three oldies (4-5 digits) that are all G2s
one sentimental G2 (hatchling of a friend's egg hatches from the 1st NotN)
two offspring of my progens (one had a cool ID # and one just looks cool, and is kind of the culmination of my world tour project)
plus I sometimes pick up fodder breeders that happen to say they're G2s in their bio.
I like to breed my progens and some other G1 pairs so I am putting more G2s out in the world as well :)

I know for sure from the top of my head about one. A Guardian that I bought for a breeding project years ago. He was coincidentally the offspring from a progen pair. For the rest of them I actually have no idea. I never checked their lineages.

I have mostly Gen 2 and Gen 1 dragons with some Gen 3 and Gen 4+ mixed in. :3.
I try not to buy dragons on the AH that are higher than 3rd Gen because that helps me limit my impulse buys by quite a lot lol. But if I do see a dragon I really like that's a higher generation I will buy them especially if I don't need to regene them.
As healthpoints also mentioned above I also just really like starting new lineages or collecting new lineages through 2nd Gens. I did a Nuzlocke a few times in the past where I ended up with 1st Gens who had kids and that started up a bloodline and I think that's where my preference for this style of play came from. :3
