Oh, I find progenitor restoration achievement too be quite cool and cute. I have actually laughed when I saw that, cuz it reminds me good old days when restoration wasn't an option and one of main things said to newbies was "DON'T EXALT YOUR PROGENS YOU WILL REGRET IT LATER!!!". And honestly I find it to be extremely cool lore wise, cuz you can do this whenever. Like, a progenitor that literally goes to a diety and comes back with news from other exalted dragons? I kinda wanted to do that with my restored random progen, but he's ugly so ended up exalted again long time ago.
While achievement for restoring normal dragon? Yeah that does feel weird, even if I already have this one checked.

Exalted and brought back my progens over a year ago still got the achivement same goes for another random dragon I decided to bring back.
Just sit on the restoration achivement and once you need to do it or want to you get an extra reward for it.

I think the progen one is fine since there's absolutely 0 risk of not getting them back if you wait the time needed, only issue with it is how much one may be emotionally attached to said dragons.
Normal dragon restoration on the other hand? Bad. It shouldn't be fooled around with due to its timers. If you exalt two non progens and want them both back, no amount of time is going to get them both back. It'll just be one. It's an important service and since it's so limited with such a long cooldown, tying it to an achievement isn't the best idea.

I guess I have to skip this achievement for my custom progen. The exalting and coming back could be incorporated in my lore relatively easily, but not only would I hate having him gone for this long on principle, he's also part of my lvl 25 coli team.
And I totally agree with the concern about the limited use of the service. Unless they somehow manage to automate the process far enough that it's easily possible to restore dragons without limits (and I don't think that's going to happen, for so many good reasons), then I'd rather keep this for emergencies as well.
But while we're at it, does anyone know whether a dragon's level and genes are restored as well when bringing them back? Or do they come back triple-basic and/or lvl 1? That would be even worse!

Maybe the achievement should be to visit the restoration dragon page instead and to update the info to be more precise. There seems to be a lot of questions and confusion regarding the services.

I have something in mind lore-wise that can account for my progen and a non-progen dragon being exalted and returning, but I will fully admit to being nervous about hitting that button. I'd be crushed if something went wrong.

if you're really gunning for 100%, just leave these for last, exalt one of your guys, immediately restore them and then buy a random fodder dragon and recover that if you still hadn't used the feature by the time

I think I'll do the progen one when I'm in dire need of 1 space when training dragons. Are there people that already exalted their progen a long time and can't get it back through restoration? Actually, is it possible that I exalt your progen and wait for months until I restore it?

I'm fairly certain I am never going to get the exalt progens achievement. I just cannot bring myself to do it. But thats okay.

Yeah, shortly before Achievements came out I made peace with the fact that there would be Exalting achievements that I would never complete. I can’t stand the idea of Exalting any of my dragons, regardless of currency I’d get out of it.
