Hyoscyamus an exalted and restored dragon keeps all genes, levels, battlestones and bio. There is no risk to losing that stuff, and no risk of losing your projens either

I don't think its a big deal, take off all their clothes exalt them immediately bring them back put clothes back on never think about it again.

yeah, this. like I otherwise would never exalt either of my progens, but it took like 30 seconds. I kept a tab open w/her outfit so I could easily redress her.
I understand why people don't want to restore a random dragon though since that has a cooldown. I... don't remember doing that at all, but I had the achievement unlocked so.

Exalt achievements?
Cool.
Restoration achievements?

Exalting my beloved progens? Why would I want to do that?
Having to undress a dragon I've apparel'd just right, back up their bio, and strip them of their familiar ... just so I can press "exalt" and then immediately "restore" on a dragon I would've never wanted exalted in the first place? I strongly feel that this is something players shouldn't be asked (or expected) to do.

This is exactly how I feel about it. This is the only achievement I am strongly against.

My progen is in my hibden and we can't exalt from there so it would mean moving him into my lair where he would have to spend 30 days on cooldown before returning. Maybe I'll do it if we are ever allowed more lair space.

I feel like I got lucky with the achievement because like. Back when I first started the game, I exalted my first progen after like a week when I didn't understand how to play well and I never restored it. Now I have no idea what I'm going to do with him though--

Eventually I'll just DIY a signature...
not gonna lie, I didn't enjoy exalting a progen. I love my progens, I've never wanted them gone, but I knew I could get him right back so I sent Chet out to get the achievement for me.
(it was never going to be Iris, she's my Mire Flyer and she has an inconvenient amount of apparel on. Chet only had to take his hat and skin off.)
Restoring a random dragon was easier and I had already done it. I don't generally exalt the wrong dragon because anything I want to keep always has a skin or a scene equipped to guard against that, but a couple of times I've exalted a fodder before training it by accident and the last time was recent enough to backdate the achievement.

Dragon Restoration is something to be used in emergencies. It's a very limited service for good reason, and if you use it on a regular dragon, there's a huge cooldown on when you can use it again.
It's purely for undoing terrible mistakes, but we risk being unable to do just that if we arbitrarily put ourselves on restoration cooldown for 90 days just to complete the "achievement"!
[/quote]
This 100%. If I were for removing any achievements, it would be this one. The cooldown is too long for the service to be for anything but mistakes only.

I feel like there’s no rush to complete the achievements?
There’s a bunch of achievements that reward “failures” like getting dodged three times in a row or wegged.
Idk I feel like restoring a random normal dragon is fine… just do it when you need to.
Don’t rush. I have a bigger bone to pick with a few other activements
