When I tell you that the Fire Runestone is terrified of me, I mean it. This thing has been hiding from me for SEVERAL WEEKS. Every day I use one gathering turn for hunting through digging, and use all my remainder for scavenging in Fire, hoping for a Fire Runestone. Not a trace. Yet, get this, the moment I scavenge in the Water location when it was the Wavecrest Saturnalia, I immediately got a Water Runestone. Is my luck just god-awful or are all Fire Runestones just Carmen-phobic [emoji=fae deadpan size=1] Of course I could just buy the Fire Runestone off the AH but.. I do prefer to just hoard my treasure like an actual dragon. Has anyone else had a situation like this where the one object they're looking for is doing its very best to [i]not[/i] be found? Yep. I got an egg before finally getting my water rune stone days later

This absolutely happened to me when I was scavenging for my hibden tasks. I spent months on scavenging every day (other than during fests, when I switched to digging), and I swear I found more eggs than runestones! I ended up going on the sales forum and trading for several of the runestones I needed just to be done with it

same but earth runestone right now, i have 3-4 of a few others but none of the ones i need

I feel your pain. My Fire Runestone evaded me for... (checks HibDen completion list)... wait a minute, six months?! The latest task before it was from January 2020, so... it was a long while. I even scavenged an Unhatched Fire Egg before finding this Runestone.

Runestones aside, I remember struggling with the Greenroot Janustrap and Dunerunner tasks the most. I couldn't have completed either of them without the help of a HibDen bank.

I fear what is to come, though, since I'm refusing to unlock any Egg tasks until they're all that's left...
