At first thought you'd say reptiles, right?
But there's no canon lore about them basking or brumating, there's not even a suggestion.
So, what are they?
Tbf, there were warm blooded reptiles at one point in time, but I don't think there's any modern day warm blooded reptiles. And the now extinct warm blooded reptiles were all marine animals so...
There's also the fact that the Southern Icefield exists. If all dragons can live there, that further supports the theory that they are not cold blooded. There are reptiles that live in extreme heat, but you're not gonna find them in the antarctic lol.
Also, hair and fur.
So, unless they're birds, they must be mammals, correct?
Discuss.
Edit: This was just a "What if dragons existed in our world, what would they be?" type of question, not a serious question about Sorneith lmao.

I don't think they are either, and fit their own classification.

Reptiles, but they run partially on magic so they don't have to worry about body temperature.

I consider spirals, bogsneaks, guardians, fae, wildclaws and snappers to all be reptiles.
Thundras and gaolers are probably mammals.
Skydancers are bird things.
Everything else, *shurgs*

they're dragons. they were created by the gods, who themselves are beings of pure magic.
reptilia is only a morphological classification anyway, and not a phylogenetic one (unless you include birds and their ancestors)
but anyway they're more like birds than modern day reptiles or mammals. and if you say reptilia includes birds...well, then they're most similar to reptilians, and some members of reptilia are endothermic. they definitely don't lactate

They are dinosaurs. I think. Well, if frogs and crabs can have fur and trexes can have feathers, so can a reptile, right?

Who can take tomorrow, dip it in a dream, separate the sorrow and collect up all the cream?
The candyman can 'cause he mixes it with love and makes the world taste good.
To add to the pot: Water flight are amphibious, which would technically make a water dragon an amphibian.

Rosa: New fear: listening to Amy inspire us.
Gina: Be back in a half hour, Ames.

I'm pretty sure they're reptiles. But like, magic reptiles.

Neither! Mammals and Reptiles are in Tetrapoda, meaning they all only have four or less limbs!
Dragons, however, have six, giving them the new classification of hexapoda, setting them apart from EVERYTHING that has four or less limbs. Snakes, lizards, birds, mammals, all that.

we do have one warm-blooded lizard, and it looks just like any other lizard!
our dragons can't be the hardest things around here to classify
