My username used to be 'AestheticTotem' before I changed it. so I just named my clan 'Totemclan'.
Still, currently I have multiple 'clans' who lore-wise all live in diffrent locations:
-Totemclan, which is the main clan and I got that name from my former username
-Clan of the heavenly plains: Which is loosely based on the 'Tribe of heavenly gods' from Ookami
-The praying mantis: A combination of hollow knight and general interest in mantis species inspired this. Plus, they're supposed to be kind of tied to the Clan of heavenly plains, so the 'praying' bit works~!

I ended up choosing Breezen Winds mostly for aesthetic, really. I don't even know where it came from, it just kind of showed up one day when I was writing in a Traveler's bio and struggling to figure out what to refer to my clan as.

I chose mine to be Stronghold. My clan is a band of worn old dragons that came to live the rest of their lives here. The guards give it the name, as they are constantly alert and are desperate to keep everyone safe.

Toxic Wastes, the original name, was because Tox is my name, my favorite dragon's name, and relates to Plague; Wastes was because Scarred Wasteland. Then the Nature move happened, and I'm slowly changing the name to Toxic Bloom. I also considered Toxic Garden, but I've been calling the event that led to our Nature-element lair "The Bloom".

I wanted something that would sound like a word that my dragons would have picked(and still sounded cool to me). So Novus Academy was established after my two clan leaders met with one another. I'm still working on writing down the full lore behind it, but I've pretty much worked out the story.
My progen, Rem, had lost her previous clan, so when my other progen, Gias, found her, various events unfold to end up with them staying with one another to create a new clan(which becomes the Academy). When asking her about the name, Rem tells Gias that it needs to be "something new." So when I looked up the latin word for "new" and found Novus, it became the word that Gias choose. :3

Like AestheticToaster, I have multiple "clans". There's the main village, Dróttningbœr, ruled by Kirk and main place of the lore. The name means in old norse: "Queen's Town'. Kirk is bad with names xD

My old lore used to be that my clan was a little village that Merry and Indigo (old clan leaders) renovated. I never had a name for it. Now that I'm becoming a mono-permababy lair, my new lore will be that they live in a sort of dreamland named Cloudspell Camp. Cloudspell Camp will be kind of how you imagine something like Candyland. Magical, bright, etc. Cloudspell Camp is exactly like that, but with more pastel colors and there are.. clouds. Everywhere.
I say name your lair something sort of creative, with some sort of letter pattern, like how I made mine all start with a C. Makes it sound like a coliseum venue, sorta. So yeah, just think like that!

My clan's name is just my username: Clan Maelstrym. I actually picked the username after what I wanted to call my clan instead of the other way around, lol.
The clan is broken up into groups though, based on the professions of the dragons in each group and various other things.
-You've got The Vortex Dynasty which is basically the 'royal family' of the clan + a select few that the matriarch feels worthy enough to be part of it.
-The Living Thunder, The Stone Wing Brotherhood, and The Knights of the Reborn Sun are all three fighting factions. Which one you fit into depends on your fighting style, and a coliseum team is made up of one of each.
-House of the Ageless Eye is where all the magicians and the like go.
-The Triumphant Blood Horde is the name of the dragons who defend the clan territory.
-The Moon Coven is for the beastmasters
-Dragons of the Unkown Light Fellowship are he explorers and adventurers
-Crafters belong to the Silver Oasis Order
-The Red Dune Enclave is made up of the hunters and scavengers of the clan
-And the Children of the Ancient Wind are the scribes and loremasters
I'm probably going to add more when I get my lore more organized lol. As for where I got all the names though, Maelstrym was my own creation, but the rest were pieced together from some name generator for groups somewhere. I picked and chose the ones I liked and stitched words from one suggestion to another until I had all those, and there you go!
