Everything seems far away, but you are not crazy, you hear voices around you. The street is filled with those sounds, and if you look closely, you can notice shadows, people walking, talking, sitting on the ground or looking at you. The place is not the lively village described above. It's dead, a ghost town surrounded by empty plains and dead fields. But you can feel all those eyes watching you, all those voices talking about you. You can feel how much of a curiosity you are, at least until you finally decide to join this town. Maybe there is a way to find the true Dróttningborg. Maybe you can search for the entrance, to finally find this village you were travelling to. Maybe you need to dive into your fear of death, and face the true side of Dróttningborg.

Before the small pack of mirrors where Kirk was in arrived, the place was a beautiful set of cliffs and grassplains, as far as the eye can see. A perfect place to set a camp, then, which grew bigger and bigger with time. Kirk proclaimed herself the Queen of the settlement, tired of this "no leader" pack system, and named the little village Dróttningborg (which can be translated by "Queen's Town". Kirk is not the best at names).

Nowadays, the place is a quiet village established on those cliffs, home for a few dragons living their lives without caring about the outside world. Kirk is leading the place with harsh but fair ways.
Dróttningborg is an autarky, fishing in the ocean, hunting down animals in the plains and the woods near the village, having a little farm in the outskirts managed by Gefjun.

Dróttningborg is a pretty lively place, in the end. Unless you are alive.

The cliffs are covered by buildings in Nordic/Celtic/Gaelic style; most of them are used for the ports and trade routes, but the higher part of the cliff is full of houses. They are usually cheaply made, with the exception of the port, made to resist waves and erosion. Of course, dragons also live on the lands atop the cliffs, since this is easier, but the winds due to the near Twisting Crescendo make life a bit more annoying. Small woods are nearby, full of pines and other sea-loving trees. The lands are mainly used for farming, Gefjun manages them, and makes sure all the windmills are always working. They are also used as military training, since the vast plains are perfect for training the new soldiers. Thus, the lands are an odd mix of farms and sturdy tents. A significant part of the cliffs here is filled with three buildings, three small facades with big wooden doors hiding huge spaces dug inside the stone. Not that far from it, fishing place, with boats and the house of Ran? On the bottom but far on the west, Njord's cave, hidden by many rocks, moss, and maybe a waterfall An old lighthouse is in a small island near the cliffs, maybe more like a huge rock formation more than an actual island. That's where Gersimi lives when she's not on her boat. The storage area is some meters higher than the docks, and are strong buildings that goes deep inside the cliffs. Huge doors, near a landing area for bigger breeds. Upper, we have Eitri's forge, and his market stall on the front. The forge is in a huge natural cave. The chimney of it is a natural chimney, going all the way up to the plateau, and ending in a sculpture of a dragon's mouth, breathing the smoke? Some houses between this and the next part? maybe small but strong ones, like not that pretty and not so cozy since you already hear the waves and wind, but very strong and safe. The Queen's "palace", which is really just a huge house, well made and with some additions through time. Maybe it's going in three or four floors, like it started higher, and then the building went down with time? The throne room is on the top, and her living area are on the bottom. Surely a trophy room too, maybe under or next to the throne room? The room were she meets up with her warchiefs is either not far from her house, or on the very top of the cliff, near the training fields and barracks. Again, some houses and maybe we start to see some markets appearing, like a baker, or some jewellers. The old Inn is here, maybe it's still an Inn, maybe it's becoming something else? Maybe it's someone's house or it's totally another service. Don't really have any ideas yet about the top of the cliff. At the very top, and on the plateau: hunters lodge, with maybe some pens with animals in it, for breeds who don't like hunting as much as mirrors do?

If you want to know more about the village of Dróttningborg, keep reading! I'm going to go into detail with each part of the realm, and a map will be made with many details.

When dragons finally dive in the ocean, jumping from the awfully tall cliffs, they have a moment of doubt, because around them is just water as they swim to the bottom. Is it really the entrance? Is it true that the "real Drottningborg" is something that lies beneath the surface? What were they thinking before diving in this deep ocean?
But after a long period of time, they should begin to see light rays. Coming in their direction? How?

WILD IDEAS

Okay so, bottom of the cliffs is the port, the docking area and the most recent inn. Not that far from it, fishing place, with boats and the house of Ran?
On the bottom but far on the west, Njord's cave, hidden by many rocks, moss, and maybe a waterfall
An old lighthouse is in a small island near the cliffs, maybe more like a huge rock formation more than an actual island.

It is said that when it start burning the body, the soul will get free with the smoke, and sent to the skies, when the ashes from the body will fall in the ocean. The death mask is generally the only thing that last, as long as some of their personal items, falling in the deep sea. After all this, the head of the dragon will be cleaned, only keeping the skull. Hrund will ornate and carve it and will place it in one of the coves dug in the cliffs. You can find here the list of the inhabitants of Dróttningborg. Of course, this is not the entire population, just the important ones.

34445357.png _ K I R K
Queen of Dróttningborg
The ruler and founder of this village. Kirk is a hot-blooded woman with harsh but fair ways to rule over Dróttningborg, and you don't want to upset her. Nonetheless, she have a few close friends who knows that she can not only smirk with mockery but also smile with comprehension.
After she got killed by her warchief Jormungand, she came back from the dead and took her throne back to rule over what belongs to her.

Bodyguard of the Queen
This guardian was chosen by Kirk to be her bodyguard, when he was just a young and naive one. He is supposed to protect her, or he must pierce one of his eyes to show everyone he failed his mission.
The queen died, and he pierced his two eyes to punish himself.

First Warchief & Golden Shieldmaiden
This skydancer is sick with a strong goldlust. Thanks to this sickness, she became a fierce and strong shieldmaiden, and the first warchief of the village. But because of this curse, she also killed a young hatchling.
She is now wearing a gold monocle imbued with illusion magic to protect anyone from her fury.

A long time ago, another dragon was trapped between the two realms in those caves. She died alone, her spirit haunting the place. When Njord arrived, she first hidden, but when she discovered he was in the same situation she got into, she decided to take this geode-dragon form, and give him a bit of company. Njord is still believing he created an imaginary friend.

When the settlement became a bit too big for their taste, many raids and battles happened between dragons and beastfolks. Until Kirk decided it was enough. She was just losing ressources and soldiers stupidly against them, and it was not acceptable. So since that day, beastfolks are welcomed in the village. Even if some are still bitter about Drottningborg and its inhabitants, many decided to stop fighting and start trading instead. It's better for each side this way, and nobody dies anymore. The day Drottningborg went into the realm of death, however, those trades stopped, and Kirk needed to find a quick solution before the population discovers that something odd is happening. Soon, she found out that a few beastclans were present near the village, populated by the ghosts of those who died during wars in Sornieth. After a few negotiations, and avoided attacks, both groups succeeded to make alliances like before. [b]R A P T O R I K S[b] A group of raptoriks lives in the highlands not so far from the village. Most of them are shepherd and gatherers, and they have built small grass-roof hunts near a small river. [columns][item=Goat][nextcol]They raise goats for their meat and milk, which they use to produce some delicious goat cheese. They trades it with longnecks nearby, as well as Drottningborg more recently. Some meat can also be present in the exchange, when they have spares.[/columns] [b]L O N G N E C K S[b] Those highlanders are used to the rocky landscape around there, confirmed by the fields the local longnecks settled. Arinyl also talks a lot with them, both studying the landscape and wildlife of the area. They trade their wool with dragons, in exchange of protection and additional food. [b]K I T S U N E S[b] On rare days, or during big events, kitsunes shows up in Drottningborg, to talk, party or eat something in the inns. They are considered a sign of fortune when they do. Unless they refuses to eat. [/columns] [columns] Integer lectus mauris, molestie eget ante eget, scelerisque cursus tellus. Many beastclans lived happily before the mirrors of Drottningborg arrived.

R A P T O R I K S
A group of raptoriks lives in the highlands not so far from the village. Most of them are shepherd and gatherers, and they have built small grass-roof hunts near a small river.
Goat They raise goats for their meat and milk, which they use to produce some delicious goat cheese. They trades it with longnecks nearby, as well as Drottningborg more recently. Some meat can also be present in the exchange, when they have spares.
L O N G N E C K S
Those highlanders are used to the rocky landscape around there, confirmed by the fields the local longnecks settled. Arinyl also talks a lot with them, both studying the landscape and wildlife of the area.
They trade their wool with dragons, in exchange of protection and additional food.
K I T S U N E S
On rare days, or during big events, kitsunes shows up in Drottningborg, to talk, party or eat something in the inns. They are considered a sign of fortune when they do. Unless they refuses to eat.

This is some text to take up space. It's pretty handy if you need something spaced out, or to see how much you can fit in a spot before it starts looking funky. Isn't that just super neato? Previews are just the coolest thing ever since lorum ipsum.

[Highland Scrub]

A rather large city on the borderlands between Water, Fire and Lightning, who happens to have a lot of spare metals to sell. Eitri opened a trade route with the city to get materials for his forge, since Drottningborg's mines aren't plentiful lately. Junktown also sells guns and ammunitions for the few gunners in the army. Those are expensive but very efficient.

The village send then back crates of fish. Surtur also creates custom glass sculptures and chimes for Céfiro, to decorate the place and have lovely tunes with the winds.

A clan in wind territory built upon floating islands. The biggest building is the postal office, and lots of trade is common.
Drottningborg send them tea, seeds and plants, since those aren't easy to get on floating islands, as well as Mosi's building materials. They also gets crates of mead.
Eir asked for their herbs and medicinal supplies, which became useful for various cooks in town. Fine art and artisanal goods are also common trades between them.

The market of various magical items quickly created a trade route between them. The restaurants also asked for fruits, sending in exchange tea, books for their library, as well as glass and candles.

A very cozy tea house, serving amazing brew of all colors and tastes, and making one travel around Sornieth. Of course the folks of Drottningborg had to get a taste too. In exchange of some tea, they send ?????.
