Get ready for my obsession with those glorious, glorious animal classifications, the letters shining ever so wikipedia-ly.

Life: Biota
Domain: Eukaryota
Kingdom: Animalia
Subkingdom: Eumetazoa
Superphylum: Deuterostomia
Phylum: Chordata
Subphylum: Vertebrata
Infraphylum: Gnathostomata
Superclass: Tetrapoda
Class: Reptilia
Superorder: Lepidosauria
Order: Squamata
Suborder: Lacertilia
Infraorder: Paleoanguimorpha
Superfamily: Varanoidea
Family: Varanidae
Subfamily: Varaninae
Genus: "Draconis"

Honestly, I dunno about this, because it implies that dragons are lizards. I don't really know if they'd be lizards or not. Maybe they'd be snakes, crocodilians, or maybe some other group.

And now, for the slightly "less boring" part, since the dragon breeds are apparently different species shush, they have babies with MAGIC...

Bogsneak: Draconis paludicallidus (Dragon Swamp-sneaky)

Coatl: Draconis claraplumus (Dragon Bright-feather)

Fae: Draconis magicapinnae (Dragon Magic-wings)

Guardian: Draconis praesicornus (Dragon Guard-horn)

Imperial: Draconis imperasquama (Dragon Imperial-scale)

Mirror: Draconis veloxigrex (Dragon Quick-pack)

Nocturne: Draconis spiculimitantus (Dragon Spike-imitate)

Pearlcatcher: Draconis sphaeranimus (Dragon Sphere-mind)

Ridgeback: Draconis cuspidorsum (Dragon Point-back)

Skydancer: Draconis caelumollis (Dragon Sky-soft)

Snapper: Draconis petramandibula (Dragon Rock-jaw)

Spiral: Draconis flexibalacritas (Dragon Flexible-energy)

Tundra: Draconis crinitupascos (Dragon Fluffy-graze)

And last but not least..

Wildclaw: Draconis feroxungula (Dragon Wild-claw)

..are you sleeping now? Darn it..

EDIT: Made the second word lowercase and in italics!

Reading Tundra as it's scientific name as Fluffy-graze just made my entire day. Oh dear that's so adorable!

I like it, my complaint (small) is binomial nomenclature is most often displayed with the second word lower case and in italics. Gotta go all the way on it!

Reminds me of the game "Eternal Poison" where all the enemies/monsters had Latin names and where announced in an opera-tone voice every time they entered battle. One of my favorites was a fox-like creature called "Velox", funny how Mirrors are also my favorite breed. XD
