I've been putting all my gathering turns into Scavenging lately (last 4/5+ weeks) and I haven't gotten a single Ice egg. My sister has been doing the same thing for maybe half as long, and she's gotten 5 or 6 Plague eggs. Is Ice Dad just more responsible with his nests? Does RNG hate me? Is the actual drop rate between locations different?
I checked the AH, and the price between Ice and Plague eggs seems to be about the same, so I don't think it's rarer. I honestly think I'm just that unlucky.
Thoughts? Experiences?

whatever it is, it's low, but it's important to note that as you level up and new items get added to the pool of what you can get, the odds of getting an egg specifically technically goes down (since there's more stuff it has to compete with).
also yeah RNG can be a fickle beast lmao.

There's this and the fact that eggs are just inherently rare. I've only found two non-Nocturne eggs myself in my year of playing, and it's probably both of these factors.

The higher level you are the less eggs drop; and I had a several month drought of no eggs then got 2 eggs in one week so ehh who knows...

I'm at level 25 Scavenging. I have had exactly 2 eggs drop from Scavenging, and haven't seen an egg for the last 10 levels or so. I doubt I'm going to see an egg from Scavenging again considering the pool of items gets larger when you level up. I get a lot of bones and bone bottles regardless of where I go.
I've gotten over 50 eggs from the coliseum, not counting Noc eggs from Strange Chests during NOTN.

there are people who probably get one egg a week and some who have never seen an egg from gathering before. the higher your gathering skill is the more items are put into your database so the likelihood of seeing an egg is even lower.
