My random progen, Charlemagne. [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=6960871] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/69609/6960871_350.png[/img] [/url] He met my custom in the Tangled Woods when they were young and naive-- my custom said she'd start a clan, and so Charlemagne was like, "cool, your clan will be my charge!" But then she started leading the clan in directions that deeply misaligned with his morals. A rebel government has cropped up, but Charlemagne HAS to lend his services to the tyrrant he disapproves of, because he said [i]her[/i] clan. Since he can't fight her but can't bring himself to help her, he kind of hangs around in the outskirts of the clan territory, waiting for the problem to "fix itself". Even if the new government was successfully installed, he's not sure he can go back. This thread is making me sad though, lol

@Alliud See, this is why I like looking at your CC thread; despite the tragedy, there's a lot of humor still. XD I don't usually write tragic lore, but I got seriously inspired by a Trickmurk accent [size=1]and the "Write some lore" raffle[/size] last night. I wrote this tragic piece about a mother dragon who went crazy with grief and almost became an Emperor when she nearly fused with her dead kids. (Her mate, to her left, also has lore, but it's not that tragic.) She has two stories in her bio, about coming to terms with the fact that all her siblings were exalted and one was confirmed dead later on. I present to you my emo werewolf edgelord of an Earth rep. He feels the pain of every mistake he has made when in his wolf form. The only thing that gives him the hope to keep living is his worship of the Earthshaker. This derg is a fandragon but I'm going to share him anyway because his lore is heartbreaking. Occasionally his true self breaks free, but it's rare and usually followed by intense, terrifying rage. He is, however, aware of how much he's changed even if he doesn't know why. The only reason he's still alive is because he's too much of a coward to die. She was never actually breedchanged but shhh I do what I want. She was a berserker-type, mad and fearless. Her pearl got broken in a battle and she was so utterly destroyed that she was practically living dead, not eating, not drinking, just lying in nothingness. In an attempt to repair her broken soul she was turned into a Wildclaw. Most of her essence was restored but she still aches internally and her body is permanently marked from her old life. An old OC of mine out of nostalgia. The original story was vastly more OP and ridiculous than this. I have two other dragons that are Shade-touched; she is terrified of them but no one will listen to her, and she knows history will one day repeat itself. No idea where I was going with this one and it doesn't make a whole lot of sense but meh. Unfortunately, he sold his soul to save his lover who eventually went missing. Believing she was dead, he rose out of hell with the desire to find her. However, he instead found her with another dragon. In his fit of rage, he killed both of them. Believed to be a one-headed Emperor, Arkial is the one dragon everyone leaves alone. No one talks to him and he requests to be chained up when not out on the field for the safety of others.

@Alliud I'm not really sure which one of them has the saddest lore, so I'll show those who I think has the saddest ones. Gizelle is a herbalist who had an unfortunate encounter at the Wyrmwound. she got better, at least. This led to him seeing his parents being executed. He's okay now! I once said that Guardians should never be charges with each other and she is the ultimate proof even without my planning it. There's also the ASL trio, the Gestalt and their Boss and her mates....basically my fandragons and OCs who of course have tragedy but are doing much better now!
