There has been a topic on horror movies for each flight, but I'm not too keen on that genre. I much prefer animated movies, so what are your suggestions for movies that have aesthetics, characters, etc that your flight would be able to relate to? Edit: Now putting my Nature movies at the top, because other people took the second top post before me! Hehe.
I'm such a softie to still be enjoying childrens' movies
Nature
Since I relate to my flight on many levels, I have several movies and in-depth writing on why I think they are Nature-ish!
The Lion King
Alright, laugh if you want to, but a few features of this film remind me of Nature. An example is the contrast between the landscapes and characters of the Pridelands and the Elephant Graveyard. They were like polar opposites, and you all know what aspect of Flight Rising I am referring to.
However, in the second film (The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride) it is proved wrong that all the inhabitants of the Elephant Graveyard are bad, because the lion cub Kovu proves that he can be friends with the Pridelands daughter. And the Pridelands is not all benevolent either; each side has its good and bad sides. The main female singer in the original version of the Circle of Life also makes me think of what our Glademama sounds like if she can sing!
Pocahontas
Yes, another Disney film, that has a similar theme of two 'opposite' sides conflicting because of their differences. (Nature and Plague, man!) Colours of the Wind may have the word 'wind' in its title, but the lyrics are actually much more suited to Nature (sorry Windies!) Pocahontas sings about the settlers don't respect the land because of a lack of understanding, that they see the Native Americans as savages, and how the animals of the wild are her friends. In a Flight Rising context. a dragon could be singing about how perhaps a member or group of people from other flights could learn to be at peace with the wild instead of trying to conquer it, and also how Nature is not hostile to strangers if you respect it.
Rio 2
Sure, there must be a first film for there to be a second one, but I'm only going to discuss Rio 2 here, because I think it relates more to the Nature flight context. Most of the soundtrack reflects the happy, free side of Nature. A good example of this is It's a Jungle Out Here (Brazilian)
Rio 2 also has a scene where the macaws work together to combat loggers who are trying to destroy their forest, and as for Nature we will certainly fight to protect what is important.

FernGully
This probably doesn't need an explanation. FernGully is about exploring the rainforest and fighting to protect it from the evil black goop guy (what was his name again?) I knew I had to add FernGully when it was suggested by other users three times.
