But I managed to find three eggs two males and a female - sold one male I wasn't fond of the colors for, and traded one more to more complement the colors of the female I had (I traded with someone who had two Nocturnes, and she originally wanted to trade her brightly colored one for a more sedate one, but my brightly colored one suited her brightly colored one, and her more muted suited my more muted and I honestly did not care which one she chose to keep and which one she chose to trade to me. I ended up with a super complementary pair of muted colored mates. I would like to add one male to the duo that is more in the blues/greens spectrum to give me the possibilities of greens/blue/purples since right now the pair I have is gonna be all reds/rusts.earth tones).
If I had a scroll? I'd probably scroll this boy to get my more blue/purple-y boy. He'd make a cute Nocturne:

But every. single. one. was a female. It took what felt like forever to find someone willing to trade one of my girls for a boy, and then my sister had pity on me and gave me one of her boys.

I was away doing, you know, Christmas things when FR sprung Night of the Nocturne on us. I didn't even hear about it until well after the new year as the holidays are busy for a girl with lots of family to see.
I'm a bit cheesed actually that I didn't even have a chance to take part in it, as the nocturnes look quite cool and are similar in style to another species of dragon I myself draw.
Of course there are a couple beautiful drakes in my lair that would lovely as a graceful nocturne, but I'm not a rich dragon keeper. Rather the opposite actually, so there was never any hope that I'd have the treasure, or gems, to afford a nocturne scroll.
Instead I resorted to selling almost all of my hoard and buying the most basic and inexpensive nocturne on the auction house just so I could have a chance at breeding one.

morningstar1 Yes, the prices are scary, but no longer horrifying. (They've actually dropped a bit, and that IS scary considering how much they're still worth.)
