Or, how Crimson names her dragons!
Imperials - a word or name that relates to their coloration in an East Asian language, such as Japanese or Chinese. I usually get these from BehindtheName.com or Google Translate.
Coatls - a word or name that relates to their coloration in Nuatl (you might know it as Aztec, or where the word coatl comes from). I get these from online databases, such as this one.
Everyone else - Typically a word or name that relates to coloration in Latin. If I don't find a suitable name in Latin, I'll begin to cycle through the languages in Google Translate until I find one I like. I also look on Behind the Name (linked above), first in Latin, then in whatever languages I think are neat.
Note: Sometimes I forget, but I try to put the meanings in their bios. If you're curious about any of their names, pm me or comment on my profile and I'll be happy to tell you!

I have a silly little APHA gelding named Woody and I love him to pieces. I also have a donkey filly that I intend to start under saddle when she is old enough. I am always game for talking about them, and I will rattle your ear off about tack, training, riding, and anything else horse-related! I primarily trail ride, but I follow AQHA and APHA cutting (my boy is of cutting stock, though he's not trained for it).
