FR is nice ish.

It's not fair to judge the community by the users an offsite drama blog. Drama Rising is barely about FR anyway, these days. I stopped following it because I got sick of the endless, off topic or at best tangentially related 'social justice' drama crossing my dash.

In theory, it's there so people can vent and air their grievances with people with the same problems away from the site itself. A lot of the people who respond to posts there are nice, too, but many are blunt, which can seem like rudeness or aggression, but doesn't tend to be.

Also, a lot of those posts there are trollposts, put up by people stirring drama and many and more are just cowardly anons posting replies to their original post instead of just responding to comments normally.

Good rule of thumb: if you go somewhere with Drama in the name, or that has an Anon option, don't expect sugar and rainbows.

Still, I doubt very much that Drama Rising was where you ran into your issue. It's just not fast moving enough to get multiple replies in the same vein within 20 minutes and it's chock full of SJW types, so the moment someone broke out a death threat, a billion people would have crawled out of the woodwork to rehash THAT drama until the mountains turned to sand.

DR isn't as bad as people say it is, but it's also an annoying place to visit. If it was on topic, it wouldn't be anywhere near as bad. Dragon drama can be fun, even if some users do post ridiculous posts there that are better suited to their personal blogs. As it is, it's just another tumblr drama hive (through lack of moderation) that's best avoided.

I can't say that I know any other fansites, though. It's worth keeping in mind that idiots on the internet don't just become non-idiots when they own pixel dragons. If their username isn't attached to their offsite behaviour, people will be prats. See Youtube comments.

In general, with few exceptions onsite, FR is nice and helpful.

I have been on FR since before the gates closed July of last year and I maintain that this community is a nice one. I have seen more kindness for kindness sake on FR than literally anywhere else I've been online, including other game sites. Every community has it's bad apples of course, but you shouldn't let them stain your opinion of everyone, they are a loud minority.

Drama Rising (since it's come up a few times), is first and foremost a drama blog, it's whole purpose is to complain and most of the complaining isn't even about FR drama, but Tumblr drama in general. Some of the drama is even drama about how Drama Rising is covering Tumblr Drama and not FR drama. It's a haven for trolls and as far as I'm concerned, they can have it.

Never take anything you see there as truth, it's all baiting, especially flight drama made by anons.

Some people are insanely nice but a few sad souls will always rune it for everyone. Do not let them get you down just write them off and move on ..plenty of nice people will chat with you here..

Most of our community is very nice. But... every site has few rotten apples so to say.

Yo I got a few choice words for some a-holes on this site, I feel really bad you met some of the crap. Even a few hypocrites I know around here too. :C The great news is the mods and admins keeps a lot of the riff raff off.

Don't go on tumblr or some of the fan sites, there's a lot of mean-spirited people on there, being told to kill yourself or die is extremely rude! :( just know there's a lot of caring people over here man, and if you ever need a hug just let us know, the Kool kids over here will help!
