"Good afternoon, everyone. Yes, I'm female, alright? [size=1]Why does everyone think I'm a guy?[/size]" She goes to sit with the other competitors, and starts picking out her teeth with her rose.

His friend Dilettante had convinced him to show up for this "contest", and Laec was still a little confused about the whole thing. Dilettante had told him it was a contest on who had the best clothes, or something like that. Besides the various skulls and feathers he had collected, Laec didn't really wear anything. Dilettante just said to "be himself" and pushed him in. The day's theme was "Casual Friday"; Laec knew what those modern words meant individually, but putting them together made less sense. From the looks of it, most dragons were wearing everyday clothes. He only entered this ridiculous showing because he owed Dilettante from the last time he'd messed up the Clan Lair. The last thing he wanted to do was be judged on his looks. He'd had enough of that all his life; his gill and angler light mutations didn't exactly fit in his Nature homeland after all. Still, he supposed they might help him win this silly game. And then Laec realized that he'd have to actually [i]speak[/i] to the judges to enter. He'd heard that Toxic had managed to enter; maybe Laec could just pretend he was mute? Unfortunately, he knew at least someone must have heard him speaking to Dilettante outside. He took a deep breath, still getting used to the feeling of breathing through his lungs and not his gills, and walked over to the judges. "Fair greetings, m'lord. Prithee, may I ent'r thy contest?" he asked, gesturing towards the sign ups as he felt quite confident that the judge had barely understood him. Not waiting for a response, he huffed moodily and settled down as far away from the other contestants as possible. The sooner this was over and he could go back to Alpha Clan for some peace and quiet, the better.

Belial mumbles as he stepped towards the tent. Smiling a little, he noticed a violet growing near his foot, and quickly reaches to pluck it and lace it in his mane. He loved the purple flowers, and constantly added them to his lengthy body. As he entered the competition area, though, he felt his heart fluttering. His nerves built up inside him as he looked about at all the nicely dressed competitors. The theme was 'Casual Friday', wasn't it? He looked down at himself, absently playing with his lei. "I...I look casual, right? This is what I always wear..." He suddenly felt very self-conscious. He was just a gentle soul who liked purple, not a model! A tiny whine peeped out of him, and he quickly curled up on top of himself, birdskulls clinking against each other as he tried, awkwardly, to appear smaller. [i]No wonder they call me a shrinking violet....[/i]
