"We're in the middle of a storm!" She tugged again, detaching her companion from his branch-hugging perch. "Dear Windsinger," she muttered, throwing the hatchling over her shoulder, "Why does he have to be such a handful?" As she continued walking, the hatchling buried into her shoulders to escape the rain. To call the weather a storm was a bit of a stretch, but it was raining hard enough that Ursula, the Guardian, found it hard to see and nearly crashed right into a small wooden sign attached to a very large tree-stump. "What's that?" she wondered out loud, squinting at the sign. "Relumi, get down and read this for me" she called to the Spiral on her back. He wriggled down and gazed at the sign, slowly reading out the words: "Dra-gons to a.. Good Home?"
After finding the entrance to a shelter under the tree-stump and subsequently taking refuge inside, Relumi and Ursula realised that... No-one was there. The 'Dragons to a Good Home' sign had been obsolete for years! Both Relumi and Ursula found this very sad. So, of course, they made it their business to get it up and running. Now, as you step inside the hollow stump, you find a lair lit with cheery candles, a wolf-pelt rug on the floor. There is enough space to house a young Imperial and still have room for Relumi and Ursula. At the moment, it's occupied by a veritable horde of dragons - mostly Spirals resting on their journey away from the Windswept Cliffs Clan, coiled up together chatting or racing about in the air. A pair of stern, battle-scarred Guardians watch on from a offshoot cave, and an orange-winged Fae is being pestered by a young Ridgeback. As you look around, another Spiral drops from the ceiling - narrowly avoiding your head. "Hi! I'm Relumi! Ursula's over there." he said. "Are you looking for dragons?"

@Silry: A cold and drenched Female SD ventures out alone and comes across a Lair lit fairly well. She draws closer, fearing that she would be rejected again. The Arcane dragon notices a sign above. Before she gets a chance to read it, a big thunderclap sounds. Her heart skips a beat and scurries inside, scared almost out of her skin! The SD wraps her feathered wings around herself for warmth and treks on. She draws up the courage to speak. "H-Hello? My name is Gl-Glory." she stammered, shivering both from the cold and nerves. Ice/Purple/Sky

@Silry The journey from their clan home was rather long, but Dawnlight and his hatchlings were safe and sound. They were old enough to travel, but this was definitely not what the three of them had had in mind. While they were still safe and sound in their eggs, their parents received dreams from their ancestors, telling them how their offspring would be two of the many Messengers of the Stardancers - dragons who would share the traditions and ways of the Stardancer clan to other clans. Dawnlight and Rosethorn taught them all they could teach within the course of four days. Though the hatchlings were too young to completely understand, they were very excited about the prospect of exploring other horizons, just like any Messenger. They were given signs by their ancestors, and were guided to their final destination. Dawnlight didn't quite expect the place to be as simple as an adoption center, but if this was where their ancestors lead them, then he wouldn't judge. "I will stay here until another clan has taken you under its wing," spoke their father as he sat outside the shelter. He was far too big to fit in there, but he could let his children explore it. "Be careful, you two. I will be here if you need anything." "We will!" chirped the female Imperial who quickly made her way inside the shelter. Her brother followed behind more clumsily as he tripped over a stone before even entering the place. "Hello?" the two of them called out in unison. @Silry Slowly, as the sun started to set, three young dragons woke up. The days before this one, they had been flying and searching for a nice place to stay. They had been so tired that they fell asleep without looking around them. But now they woke up and they saw the sign. "This might be a good place," the male Ridgeback said, while looking at his much smaller Skydancer friends, "at least for now..." I would love to adopt the pretty Ridgie! I've pinged you because he seems to be chilling out in your lair instead of @Silry's.
