I mean, most of them have at least one or more pricey components to them, be it genes, apparel or accents, but there are definitely a couple that stand out from the crowd
Zenyatta cost me a ridiculous amount of money, firstly because he was a G1, secondly because he was already gened, thirdly because I had to regene and breed change him, fourthly because all three genes were gem genes, and lastly because of his apparel
I was very poor for a while thanks to him
Shire was also an already gened G1 and she was a double on top of that so even though I didn’t have to regene her, she was probably a bit more expensive than Zenyatta
As for time… any breeding project requiring an imp, coatl or wildclaw is definitely high effort, I’ve had some imp projects take me upwards of two years *shakes fist at
Smoker and
Grimmjow*
And for planning… sometimes I swear I just
look at a character and my brain automatically starts compiling a list of the apparel I would need to use - but there are a couple that required a bit more than the usual amount of time it takes me to throw a scry and outfit together:
I spent what felt like forever in the dressing room, putting apparel on and taking it all off because I had to adjust the layering (and I’m primarily on mobile, so make of that what you will). He was SUCH a pain to design but SO worth it for the end result!
I probably went through every single color on the wheel looking for the right one to use for their two-tone hair, and their outfit involved some tricky layering as well.
Yuugi and Yami were both expensive
and took a while to plan. I needed them to be similar but not
entirely identical. One day I’ll get around to designing Atem but for now I need to wait until we get more lair/den slots >_<
