I'm bored out of my mind. I'm doing like, video editing for a BIG project i have and the rendering will take aproximatively 10 hours (its a long video.) so while i wait i have absolutely nothing to do with my computer threatening to blue screen if i dare boot up a game. so. Let me tell you why i play flight rising. what makes it click for me. since 2015. Fandragons. I like character customization in viddy games. But what I love more than character customization, you ask? Character customization that allows me to play as my blorbo bingus characters from entirely different series. And Flight rising is no exception to that. On the contrary. And tbh honest. You find out a lot about a person based on their favorite fictional character. I think. So i wanna see special fandragons. Not just your most recent, the one you're the most proud of, no, i wanna see THE character for you. THE character that's YOUR favorite character in media that you'd defend no matter what. If you can't choose? Gimme a top 3 characters! If you don't have your own favorite fandragon yet, scry and dress them up, we're here to have fun and gush at each other! So, i'll start. Meet my namesake and favorite character, Gengetsu, the 2nd Extra stage boss from Touhou 4: Lotus Land Story (1998) [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/77751829][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/777519/77751829_350.png[/img][/url] She has plenty of visual references in her bio and i wrote little notes about her characterization! She's a little bit of a sweetheart with a sour reputation in the fandom because people tend to focus on the difficulty of her fight and how strong she is rather than how nice she actually is in dialog! and it makes me so sad! She's the prime example of a coexistance between being adorable and cute as a button, but also absurdly strong (she's from a bullet hell game. Her magic bullets go faster than the human eye can detect if you reach the timeout counter) and all that showoff power because she's an amazing sister to her younger twin who your player character just bullied to kill time before her fight waugh i love her AND NOW ITS YOUR TURN show me the characters you like a normal amount and how you translated them into flight rising ready set G O

Oh man... this is a bit of a difficult choice Aziraphale from Good Omens is my main comfort character for sure. My username is even a reference to him! This isn't my first fanderg of him, but I replaced the other one because this one is sooo much better. He is a soft, book-loving angel and I love him so much [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/87555202][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/875553/87555202_350.png[/img][/url] Another character that makes this list is Dustfinger from Cornelia Funke's [i]Inkheart[/i] trilogy. The first book was adapted to film in 2008 but apart from the casting for Dustfinger, which was perfect (Paul Bettany :D), the film was not at all accurate to the book. So this is my interpretation based on the book version! In the book at one point someone teases him about being as "beautiful as the moon" and he asks if that means he has as many craters XD, which prompted me to pick a dragon with a Moon primary. The fire Secondary was a must as he is a fire-dancer! Gerard "Gerry" Keay from the podcast, The Magnus Archives. He is a ghost goth who ends up bound to one of a set of evil books he set out to find and burn during his life, which is terribly ironic. Basically he has the worst life and then a horrible death and then the universe decides to give him one last kick while he's down, but somehow, he retains his sense of humour and manages to be one of the best characters in the whole series [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/87547838][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/875479/87547838_350.png[/img][/url]

I also wanted to add that YES ALL OF MY YES to character customization options in video games! I am not even a gamer per se but I used to own these old WWE games from like 2009 and 2010 and I played the heck out of them simply for the option of creating characters. I basically had it down to an art form XD but sadly my Xbox 360 finally died the other year and I have been sadly without.

omg okay i don't have many fandergs but these three are very near and dear to my heart as characters smajor (or scott or smajor1995 or dangthatsalongname or branding nightmare) from empires smp season 1 is my traumatized little guy i love him [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/70176344][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/701764/70176344_350.png[/img][/url] he's an elf that lives in the mountains and rules an empire named rivendell so the ice is a nod to that, and he gets ice powers near the end of the series. he has blue hair and wears a lot of blue and white and gold so that's why he has all the gold armour and stuff. the antlers are a nod to the fact he's the champion of the deer god aeor, and his (evil) brother xornoth is the champion of exor, another deer god. the server bands together and traps his brother in a red crystal so that's why he has one of those. he's scottish and sarcastic and yeah. i love him. another is kurt hummel from glee, who is my most recent obsession. [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/66800911][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/668010/66800911_350.png[/img][/url] the white primary and secondary is a nod to his nickname porcelain, and the red is meant to the sparkle gene and it's just a nod to the mckinley colours and when he was on the cheerios and such. the outfit represents the fact we often see him in waistcoats and idk when i think of kurt i think of bright red pants. the purple stuff is just for fun because he wears the weirdest and craziest stuff (also the rings were meant to be the rainbow ones but those were like wayyy too expensive so i just went with the purple ones). i might revamp his outfit at some point but it's alright for now. and just god i love him. dr strange from the mcu/comics (but mine in mainly the mcu) is also heavily traumatized and very silly. [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/53431669][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/534317/53431669_350.png[/img][/url] the colours are a reference to fact his outfit is blue and cape red, but the yellow is for the colour of his magic! i couldn't not use runes i mean c'mon he's magic. the cape is (obviously) the cloak of levitation but his familiar is also the cloak just don't think about it too hard. i need some of the notn books for him and the enchanted library scene and some kind of bronze or green necklace for the eye of agamotto but i love him and he translates so well to a dragon. his grumpy old man/yound kid found family dynamic he has with peter and america is the greatest and GOD i adore him. thank you for listening to my ted talk.

@Gengetsu You joined Flight Rising for the same reason as me: I also joined to make fandragons. I haven't played any of the Touhou games, but I've always been curious about the series. Your fandragon of your namesake looks fantastic, you did a great job replicating the core of her outfit and making her appear angelic. I think it is great that you put so much attention to detail to write about her character in the bio as well. I'm planning on doing something like that myself! He's a quiet, stoic character that doesn't talk much, but is kindhearted, loyal, and loves food. He was the fandragon I wanted first from the BotW/AoC scries I made, as BotW made a big impact on me at the time. TotK has done this as well. I genuinely appreciate all three games for the themes it tells, and how it emphasizes that it's OK to take your time when there's so much to be done. My Link fandragon is a Skydancer, as I felt that it matches how he typically seems. Attentive, and seemingly serious. He used to change outfits to reference BotW, and because I disliked the Current Caller Raiments. This changed after I saw Link's redesign in TotK. I had the idea of giving him Skink after the reveal, and the accent was something I noticed that matched TotK's style. I may just keep him with his TotK look.

Oh man it's so hard to pick a FAVORITE favorite. I have fandragons of all my absolute favorite characters lol... I will pick a top three though. She's a minor character from a show that wasn't really that popular in the first place but she is my ultimate blorbo of all time. I don't even really know why lol I just liked her vibe and attached myself to her forever. I have a sentimental attachment to this specific dragon in addition to the character. She's the first fandragon I put a lot of time and treasure into. I was absolutely obsessed with her when I first got this fandragon, not that I don't still love her! But I was so pathetically head over heels for Pearl in 2015 lol. The fictional woman I'm [i]currently[/i] head over heels for :') I had a fandragon for her previously but I replaced it with a totally new one earlier this year. FE3H is of course a really popular game but Catherine isn't exactly one of the most popular characters. So it probably looks a little silly to some people that she's the first dragon in my FE3H tab. It's because she's most important DUH!!! (to me, anyway.)

fandragons! i also have a fandragon of my namesake (doc “2BDamned” from madness combat). he’s great. incredibly fun to write and very fun to draw too. also i have thought far too deeply into his character for a guy who appears for a grand total of five minutes.
