A soothing wind from the east brings Falconwing and her small troupe of mystical animals! Today she's a noble samurai. Yesterday I realized how fun it was to dress dragons in a colour not already on their body. It makes their outfit and their genes both pop a lot more. The five animals on Falconwing's head represent the four auspicious beasts, which are my personal favourite figures from the mythology of ancient China (and by extension, Japan and Korea as well). They are the black tortoise, the vermillion bird, the azure dragon, and the white tiger, which I depicted with the red eared slider, the screaming tickbird, the friend iguana, and the orange tabby, respectively. The red-tailed boa is serving double duty: the black tortoise is frequently depicted as having a snake for a tail, or as being entangled with a snake. Additionally, the red-tailed boa can also represent the uncommonly depicted fifth beast, the yellow dragon. My favourite part of this outfit is how all five animals sit next to each other!

I got inspired to dress [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/84574648]Bella[/url] as a glassblower when I looked at her accent and realized I didn't have any glassblowers in my lair! This was not the color palette I thought I'd end up with, but it was very fun.
Bella was a glassblower before the incident. Glass seems like an impractical material to replace muscle and skin with, but with a little magic it's not too bad. Besides, she's been working with glass her whole life, and if she has to use anything as prosthetics, at least its something she can fix herself. Now she uses the skills she learned on herself to make moving glass marvels of both practical and decorative natures.
