Ive been looking at some of the hatchlings my aethers will produce and two of them really caught my eye.. I was wondering if there were any tips or tricks in breeding to where I can get these fastest or do I just have to keep breeding till I get them?
And while you are here show some of your own breeding projects and their parents :)

Unfortunately there's no way to "zero in" on a particular color combo with an established pair of dragons. However, you have some options that might help get these dragons sooner.
- Use a hatchling color / gene probability calculator (I use the "flight rising breeding tool" which I found through the resource forum) to calculate the current pair's range / liklihood of hatching your desired dragon on a given nest.
- If the probability is low start by checking the AH for a dragon with the same colors / genes. Sometimes changing a gene or two / eye type will be much cheaper and faster than the alternatives.
- If there's nothing, consider getting a new mate / pair that has a tighter color range (and thus higher probability of hatching your desired hatchling).
- If there aren't any dragons whole colors are even close you might try the Dragon Search (on the sidebar) which allows you to search the lairs of other players. Obviously these dragons aren't for sale, but esp. if a dragon is undressed and unnamed in someone's fodder tab or hibernal den there's a chance they might be open to selling. Personally I've had good success just saying "Hey, sorry for this message out of the blue; I hope it's not a bother! Was just browsing the dragon search looking for a dragon for xyz breeding project when I came across your dragon ___. Any chance you'd be open to selling them? No worries if not. Don't feel the need to respond unless you'd like to." and throwing them some food as a good will gesture.
You could also ask for someone to lend you their dragon but given this isn't officially supported (the dragon becomes yours once you trade) + how long breeding projects often take I'd stick toward trying to purchase if possible.
- You also have the option to try asking in the dragon trading forums but ime people rarely read your criteria and you're likely to get a bunch of notifications for dragons that don't match what you're looking for at all. Can always try and just delete the thread if it ends up being unhelpful but yeah!
- Lastly, you could buy a boon of fertility from the gem shop. It's very expensive and probably ill-advised if your pair doesn't have a tight color range but it is an option if you've got the gems.
Sorry if you already knew some / all of this. Lmk if you have any questions; I do a lot of breeding projects so I know the struggle!

good luck! the parents are both cute and the scries are too
I noticed the parents have a primary range of oilslick-blue, which is very large and would be difficult to get a specific outcome. you can still breed them for lots of pretty blue-purple aethers, but for a breeding project you may want to get dragons that are closer to your target outcomes (as marropo described). it's probably easiest to get moderns with a close color range and then, once you get the proper colors, breed change the hatchling to an aether.

If you're really determined to get a specific color combo/range/etc. as fast as possible, I'd consider changing both parents into breeds with quick breeding cooldowns. All ancient breeds have a 20 day cooldown, but plentiful modern dragons (MIrror, Tundra, Guardian, Fae) have a 15 day cooldown, meaning you can breed them twice a month.
This just means you have to breed change the offspring back to what you want, but you'd have to decide if the tradeoff of 'get the baby quicker' is better than 'i also have to spend more money to make that baby the breed i want'
