his backstory is that he wanders the Plaguebringer's domain, bringing death, destruction and the dead with his music. when someone actually is brave enough to talk to him, he realizes he is lonely and is glad that he has company.

Mercy is my Plague rep. His parents were chosen to offer one of their eggs, which would grow up to be the Plague Ambassador, in the hope that the Flights could be united through eleven predestined leaders. As lore develops, things start to go wrong, with Mercy in the middle of it. He resents his 'duty' where the other Ambassadors embrace it, and succeeds in creating a rift between them all.
