Biography
Clan Doctor | Rival of Xam
Doc is a doctor that hails from The Scarred Wasteland. Well... he's almost a doctor; he was meant to graduate within a year's time before he became lost during an expedition into Dragonhome's wilderness. Doc became separated from his teacher. As part of his thesis, his mission was to help one of the larger Earth clans combat an epidemic of the flu. Nasty business, the seasonal Dragon Flu. Although they were successful in helping the Earth clan, a sandstorm caught the travelers unawares as they tried to cross the Shattered Plane on their return trip home. The storm raged at the foot of the winding pass over the deep ravines that surrounded The Pillar of the World. It blocked the only way back into The Scarred Wasteland. The winds of the fierce storm caught under Doc's small spiral wings and carried him off into parts unknown.
Doc was stranded without food or water. His homeland was humid and full of life; life of a kind. To contrast, Dragonhome was dry and barren, with an oppressive heat. He watched as his delicate scales withered and burned. If he hadn't stumbled upon this cave system.... he shudders to think what might have happened. Fortunately, the dragons here were in great need of his skills. They shared with him the waters from the vast underground springs and they paid him handsomely for his work in meals and gemstones.
This clan was in dire need of a real physician when Doc arrived off the wastes, and they are grateful for his skill.
That sleazy Bogsneak alchemist— whatever his name is— does not have an ounce of proper medical training. And Doc suspects, less than ethical methods.
Doc has been criticized for not keeping his work space or his person clean enough— it is the nature of a plague dragon to be a little messy when it comes to blood and the like. However, he is kind and patient when it comes to those in his care.
Doc has tried to tell his new clanmates his real name multiple times— but they simply won't refer to him as anything other than 'Doc'.
As you've heard, Doc isn't a real Doctor. But the clan doesn't know that. Please don't tell them!
Doc is worried that if the clan finds out the truth about his incomplete education... well... that they might stop feeding him.
