Dragon Share

Making this pretty much because I like to compliment the person's dragon above me! People put a lot of work into fandragons, after all. It's literally just IKTR, but you say more things. Here's how it goes: - Claim your post so you don't get ninja'd. - Look at the lair of whoever posted right above you. - Find a dragon that you think is a reference to something (fandom, mythology, toaster, whatever) - Post the reference dragon with [b]at least 3-4 sentences. [/b] Can be more than that, but there's the baseline. ;) Think about things like complimenting the dragon, justifying your claim, or talking about whatever you like about the fandom/character/toaster. ------------ I'll start by bragging about a baby I'm particularly proud of, Chick. Chick (the Yugioh card), and my only permababy! My first Yu-Gi-Oh deck was this dinky Red-Eyes Darkness one, so I've got a soft spot for the Red-Eyes monsters. Chick here is a pretty recent acquisition, but I was in love the moment I saw how Obsidian Wraith looks like curling smoke, like she just spat a fireball or something. @Spooner [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/60778680][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/607787/60778680_350.png[/img][/url] A friend of mine introduced me to Mystery Skulls Animated last year and I still kinda hate her for it because it’s just... so [i]good[/i]. I love the story being told in the videos (new one coming out next month!!!) and it makes me happy any time I see someone with a fan dragon from them. Ghost was practically made for doing a Lewis fan dragon, and while I’ve seen other people dress him in a suit, I like that you left him without clothes so that the rib lines show. The obsidian wasp has a nice glitter to it and the articulations sort of give the impression of clothing lines, and it really helps showcase the one piece of apparel he is wearing, which. INSPIRED I’ve never seen anyone try to give him his golden heart except by cheating with an accent, and I love your creativity!

I have not seen a fandragon for her yet, which has been a shame because I flipping adore her. She's so CUTE. An adorable cutie who did [i]not[/i] deserve, well, what happened to her. I want to give her so many hugs. I love her so much, she is one of my favourite non-UA characters, and I really like how you did her dragon <3 Perfect mane, pearlcatcher is of course [i]perfect[/i], and she even has innocent eyes! She's so PRECIOUS and I love how you handled her outfit. And ofc the outfits on her bio too ;w; So perfect. Claiming @Stellori 'cos [i]technically [/i]I've not posted about other people's dragons in here. ;) [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/50482238][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/504823/50482238_350.png[/img][/url] I'm pretty sure Hel is a reference to the Norse goddess, though I couldn't say if she's a specific depiction from a game/book/etc! I recognized her name right away, though, because I played a lot of Age of Mythology back in the day, and she's in that. [center][img]https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/ageofempires/images/a/a5/Hel.jpg[/img][/center] [center][size=2](In the vanilla version of game, Hel is the only way to get any kind of dragon units, so I certainly approve of Hel being a dragon here.)[/size][/center] I'm usually not the biggest fan of Guardians, but the female Guardian pose really works for me here, as only one side of the ghost is displayed. Since Hel is described in norse poetry as being half-black, half-white, a lot of artists took that to mean half her face was coming off; I think the antique ghost is a really nice choice for showing that. Colourwise, I think it would have been an obvious choice to go for pure black and white here, but Hel instead has subtle greens from the obsidian and the apparel, and even a little tinge of red coming in from the Antique Ghost, which is very much an off-white. I really like that - it makes her look like she's still decaying a bit, or long dead. I listen to it when I need to write flirty rivalries between characters. Also I associate this with the show Hannibal, the possessive nature suits Hannibal and Will way too well. --- Np: Please use bio outfits in wip fandragons. I'm not counting picks in this thread so it's fine if you pick a fandragon you've picked before.

Now this is the kind of thread I'm up for! I like seeing other people's takes and talking about their fandragons and the works referenced by default. @Servamp [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/62128011][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/621281/62128011_350.png[/img][/url] Speaking of, your take on Gamzee is pretty interesting. I think I've seen him with Fade for a while, but with the new accent, it meshes well with the pink tones in his primary gene, which is great! Annnnd... a very pastel-y reference to things going down. The one thing that amuses me about him more than the accent is actually his Radioactive tertiary. Why? 'Cause I was thinking of sopor slime. You probably didn't intend that when you got him, but it's funny when you think about Gamzee's character. You don't have to do anything with that color though, I think he looks nice aesthetic-wise as is!

Your dragons are incredible! I haven't seen a Dipper or Mabel dragon yet, but I had to go with Dipper first because of all the special little details you included. His colors are perfect and his apparel is spot-on! I especially like how you gave him two journals (even though one is hidden under the other). You even gave him Gompers! And his bio looks so good. And his parents! I clicked on them out of curiosity and DIED. LAUGHING. That he has a sibling named Tyrone. Like, that's such an invisible thing and it is SO PERFECT. He's easily the most hip Persona in my books. He's just so... [i]cool[/i]. Don't ask me to explain it, he just is. As for the dragon here - you know how sometimes it feels like FR deliberately made apparel specifically for a fandragon? That is really the feeling I'm getting with Arsene here. I mean, just look at the hat, red trim and all. And the blue fire is just Iconic (TM) when it comes to Arsene. When I saw this dragon's actual colours, my jaw dropped - I really thought he was a red primary with an accent etc. You've done such a phenomenal job with dressing him, I couldn't tell at all that the accent is actually only on the wings (and even that is partially hidden with more excellent apparel. I really appreciate what the clawrings do to the backs of his legs, too - that is very cool. It's always nice to see someone who cares about the parent names, like I do (albeit very very sometimes). Fool Arcana is just a brilliant choice for this dragon, though! I first got interested in Yugioh because a roleplay group I watch did a Yugioh themed one, and I wanted to know what was going on. So I watched all of GX, because it was easiest to find. And I enjoyed it thoroughly. I go back to school only to find out one of my friends has been playing for years, and he gives be a deck of Cyberse, and we start dueling. It's been a lot of fun ever since! (Shoutout to Garret the Carrot for giving an entire deck of cards. :'D)[/center]

I didnt really know most of your dragons, and my star sign wasn't there, so here we are! I have vague fuzzy memories of BadBoyHalo from back when I watched StacyPlays. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure they did this series together, and he named his horse something that I can't say here. Stacy ended up censoring it and calling the horse Sea Biscuit for the rest of the video. Everyone in the comments were talking about it, and back then it felt like this whole scandal! I miss when the old-timey MCYT like Stacy, Stampy, and IBallisticSquid were popular :(
