He fell in love with the God of Light, and was banished from Shadow's realm by the Shadowbinder. He misses Shadow's food, and while the clan was traveling through Shadow he would guide them to the best places to eat. I would love an entree for him that includes his favorite food, the Nightwing Bat. Feel free to use plants, etc. in the meal!

He had his head and tail held high, walking as if he belonged here, though aesthetically he was well aware how much he stood out. There was a very carefully cultivated aesthetic here, and he could see the marks of fine craftsmanship everywhere-- all genuine, all expensive, with a few light touches just for beauty's own sake. It would be so easy to let the golden aura of the Chateau take one's breath away. Was that a light perfume of flowers in the air? Not obtrusive, but very sensual, adding to the achingly beautiful aura of the place. He noted exits, possible ambush points, potential hard points for interrogations, pieces that could be used as improvised weaponry, and security measures hidden in plain sight. Old mercenary habits died hard. The Ridgeback heard Cleo long before he saw her, and quickly noted her apparel when she finally did appear-- understated, but carefully put together, with the marks of the Crystalcourt about her. Likely nobility, with all the training that came with it. He suspected her manner of dress was more habit than affectation. He also noted the subtle power play in the architecture-- having the hallway end in a lofted platform allowed the residents to look down at their guests, even if their guests were many times larger. Many manor houses were built that way. Still, he could tell that she meant no threat to him, political or otherwise. He'd known many nobles. It was an affluent life, but often lonely. He suspected she wasn't even thinking about the architecture. The hug, though, caught him off guard. He quickly shut his eyes and willed his flaming halo to dissipate, so as not to accidentally burn her. "Oh, I don't know about that, miss. I'd venture to guess you're probably a bit younger than I am, though not much. Careful with the feathers so close to my head. That lovely plume oil you're using could go up like a redwood forest in July." He pulled out of the embrace when it was polite to do so, opening his eyes and letting his halo return. "You must be Miss Cleo. My name is Justice. Pleased to meet you." He smiled warmly. "Well, Miss Cleo, that's just the thing. I'm looking for something for myself. I grew up around mercenaries, and now that I have a stable home and friends to call my own, I find I lack a kind of homey staple entree that I can whip up myself in an afternoon. Our chef is lovely, but I enjoy being self sufficient. It's also helpful if I can put something together for guests. People are impressed when a military man can cook something besides camp food." Justice sighed. "Being an obligate piscivore makes things a little more complicated. Here's a list of things I like. I also find wood-smoked dishes to be my very favorite.
