@dransnake
I'm with you there with Gembound, I adore the gene and need more. Trystam's my only one, and his apparel just covers it up

Though the last dragon you posted is freaking amazing, even with the skin. He is a pure treat to look at.

Jupiter/Saturn is a combo that doesn't seem very popular, but it's the reason this fodder dragon is now wearing an outfit (she'd have a name if I weren't super slow at naming)

But Crackle is definitely one of those genes that doesn't get much love. I have several dragons that I think absolutely rock it:

I really love every dragon here, proof that uncommon genes have a lot of potential!
Here are 2 of mine:

Here's Night, my oldest dragon! I heard that his genes were common but nowadays you never see circuit other than in fodder (Crystal and shimmer too, while we're at it)
Currently he's slightly hidden under his skin but without it he's still gorgeous in my opinion :3

And there's Cheesecake, who has Tiger. I'm unsure if it's uncommon, but I'll have to say I very rarely see it in permas! I personally think it's an amazing gene but can be pretty hit or miss, which may be why it's rarer haha

@barrdwing
To this day, Haren remains my favorite. I posted her earlier in the thread, but she is just so amazing to me I'd love to show her off again, as she had both Saturn and Jupiter, as well as Spines. She's a threeway combo of uncommon and yet the best dragon in my den.

Yes, Haren is a great example! I love what Jupiter does with the linework behind the eye, and the overall "crawling" motion of the lines on the shoulder and tail work very well with her apparel. :)

I really do have to agree with Tiger, it's common on older dragons and now inactive accounts, but not in active dragons anymore. I too am guilty of covering it up, I changed it to Poison on Sliver, and while we're here I agree with Circut as well. Every dragon with it I picked up with the intent of making a Perma I've ended up exalting as well. It's just so hard to make it work, but you certainly have and I applaud you for it.

My cat has a very similar marking behind her eye, and although I didn't have the cat when I got Haren, that's now all I can think of when I see Haren. which only further strengthed my bond to her, if you can bond to code and pixels on a screen. Though thank you for helping me justify what her apparel is, because truthfully I just threw random stuff on her until something worked, it took me nearly two months to perfect, though I still feel she needs something on her head.

I am going to spotlight Tiger. I don't see may draggos with it, so it makes me doubt my dragons that do, even when I think it suits them.
Mesmer has both Tiger and Hypnotic, neither of which are popular. But I wanted a dragon that kind of hypnotizes you when you look at it, and she does! She makes cute babs that always end up exalted. :(

Gloom also has Tiger. I don't think it looks bad on him, but he's a WIP, so I might swap that out, one day.

Finally, Bengal, who I think is gorgeous. Her Seraph wings are also undesirable for a lot of people on here, but her orange Tiger fits so well.

[center]I know gembond is pretty unpopular now (it used to be more popular, but usually only on irishim dragons), but I still love using it and have a lot of dragons with gembond. It can really bring a look together.

This is an older girl, but I still love how gembond looks on skydancers honestly, such pretty accents on the wings.

Someone mentioned spines - is that not popular anymore? I love it! Not on some breeds - spirals, coatls, snappers all look a bit odd with it imo. But wildlclaws look awesome, like raptors.

I'd mention circuit too because that one has definitely fallen out of fashion, and I still like it a lot (especially the gradients it gives) - but at least that one used to be super popular, and it's still a gem gene so the associations aren't as foddery.
