He was abandoned by his clan when a tsunami hit and wound up being “rescued” (wasn’t in actual danger afterwards) by a fisherman. He has some aquatic traits such as fins, gills, scales, and other such things. Despite being a mer-dragon he prefers to stay on land; this doesn’t mean he enjoys an occasional trip into the sea.
