The Sleepy Hollow clan was a nomadic clan that once traveled the Windswept Plateau under a different name. They decided to move to the Starfall Isles where, unknown to them at the time, a terrible curse was placed upon them. For long periods of time, the clan will go into a deep hibernation, all at once. Because of this, they have ceased their nomadic ways and made themselves a home among the trees of the Starwood Strand. The curse struck again a year ago, and they're just coming back to and getting their clan underway again. Lepidoptera is the once matriarch of the clan, but she has gotten old. (As has quite a few of the dragons, but age has not quite caught up to them as much as they have with her.) She does her best still to look after the hatchlings as they grow, but nowadays she often needs assistance and finds herself drifting off. Still, after all of this time, she is still around, and proud of it. Moonlight is younger, and has only been affected by the Great Sleep once. She can often be found wandering as far as possible from home to bring back supplies that she finds useful to the clan. She has the wanderlust, and isn't sure how much longer she will be willing to stay with the clan. (She'll be off to the dragons off to see the world thread soon maybe.) I'm not sure who else to include, so I'll just throw in the clan's healer, Indra. She was born before one of the first Great Sleeps, and spent a long while without a name. She ended up choosing the name for herself, and became the clan's healer. She's very proud of her work, and is doing research alongside some of the other dragons to find out if there is any way that this curse can be broken.

oh hi
Super awesome idea for dragon share week! Thought I'd try my hand at this. It was actually super hard narrowing it down to three, but I think I managed to do it. Trym is the sheriff of Parcgue town, and nearly everyone in the town looks up to her highly. She also is notable for hating the bandits more than anyone else, most likely for the fact that her lover, Torix, ran away to them long ago. Left to die in the woods, Torix picked him up to study his condition. The bandits found that the crystals contained electric charges and that is a major source for their power. He also has strong magic because of this. While this isn't strictly taboo, something in their environment caused him to sprout eyes all down his body. His brother, Ladrian, came out fine and was accepted into the town, but Rajin was thrown out. The bandits picked him up, and Torix is currently investigating the cause of his multi-gaze.

Posted in the wrong spot, still trying to figure this website out o-O Also apparently I'm the only one who doesn't know how to post a picture of my dragons on a reply. Yeah if this doesn't scream newb I don't know what does. I may be new here, but that does not mean in the least that I haven't started to develop some story for my clan. Thanks to whoever had the idea for this weekly!! His mother was exalted long before his hatching, and when she laid her first clutch it was taken from her and brought to a nest grouping by the The Wyrmwound. He had always heard of the great clans of the wasteland always bringing pride and honor to the Plaguebringer. He desired these things for himself, riches, control, a suitable mate and the power to conquer land and take whatever he wanted. Greedy, he dared to ask the Plaguebringer for a clan of his own. What she saw in him he will never know, but she gave him a lesser lair in the Wandering Contagion and sent him there with a guardian female. When he arrived at the pitiful chunk of rock, he discovered it was already inhabited by a spirit named Onyx Shade. The spirit had been the caretaker of the land for years but had been praying for dragons and a clan to watch over. Overjoyed, it immediately began to babble near intelligible nonsense at the poor mirror male. Eventually they calmed down and the two began to discuss their new clan. Onyx gave him the name Basalt for his coloring and named his mate Spinnel. After his first two children, Basalt learned of the more important things in life besides land and power. He took in a gaggle of dragons from the auction house and made Onyx Grotto (as he came to call it) their home. Today, he spends his time watching over his subjects, raising his daughter Jet, and enjoying time with his family. Basalt appointed him as his adviser and taught him how to fight in the coliseum. Almandine found victory at almost every turn and used his magic well in battle. He gained much honor beside Basalt and Spinnel and is fourth in command of the clan. He is also very good friends with Basalt and is one of the few who sees his soft side. Eventually Almandine worked up the courage to ask Basalt for a favor. His sister had also been put up to auction, and it wouldn't be long before she was sent back to their original clan and possibly exalted. Her sister Slate was put up for auction shortly after the two were born, but she is not forgotten in the least. Occasionally Jet will sneak out and meet with her sibling. After the two grew up they began to see each other less and less as they were caught up in the duties of their clans. Slate was exposed to toxic chemicals in an old abandoned nuclear plant and Jet never saw her after that. Jet aims to be the best leader she can and use her influence to shape the wastes for the better. She finds her own treasure and spends it on new armor so she can be prepared for the day she enters the coliseum with her parents. She helps take care of the hatchlings in her spare time and has become good friends with Sulfur, Almandine's sister, and a nocturne named Scapolite. She also spends a lot of time getting to know her future mate Tourmaline. She accompanies her parents on hunts for food and supplies whenever she can. Rosemary is the matriarch and founder of the Bralda-hîm Weyr. Under her rule the Weyr has grown and prospered, becoming a model of self-sufficiency and internal organization. Despite the Weyr’s isolation and reclusive tendencies, Rosemary has very strong and somewhat archaic views on the importance of hospitality, and any vagrant dragons passing through the Weyr’s territory will be invited in for food and shelter. All who are part of the Weyr are under her protection and dominion, no matter what Flight they originated from or what the superstitions of the various species are. As such the Weyr contains members that hail from every part of the World, including several Plague dragons, which are usually shunned in Nature Clans due to the rivalry between the gods. These dragons have contributed greatly to the Weyr through the founding of the Brewery, which is only able to exist due to the cooperation of Plague and Nature dragons, fermentation being the perfect overlap of their magicks. Personality-wise she is forthright, organized, and compassionate. Rosemary leads through example, if there is a problem she charges in headfirst. If one of her Clan needs something, she does her best to provide it. Rosemary is fair and dedicated and seeks to provide a safe and stable environment for the dragons that have chosen to live under her charge, though she can be overbearing at times. She has the annoying habit of being consistently right. Benedict is her second and command. He stumbled upon the Bralda-hîm Weyr back when Rosemary was a newly hatched Queen with only a young tundra named Isengrim following her, and a small parcel of land in the Everbloom Gardens as her domain. Quite taken with the earnest strength of the young queen he decided to stay for a while and offer what help and advice he could to the new and growing clan. He had just returned to the Viridian Labrinth for the first time after his exile from his original clan after he accidentally melted all of their treasure. He had traveled for awhile, eventually settling with a clan of kind tundra dragons in the Southern Icefield, even helping them defeat a troublesome Yeti. Eventually he made his way North as he missed the warm, humid air and rich flora of his first home. As the Weyr grew and prospered his role shifted from occasional advice and welcoming new members to functioning as the Queen’s second-in-command: sorting through the matters that vied for her attention, taking over when she was absent, and minding many of the more tedious aspects of keeping the Weyr functioning. He also regularly meets with the heads of the various departments around the Weyr, such as the Post Office, Hatchling Care, and the Watch. An interesting fact is that as the first and only adult coatl to join the clan for quite some time, the superstition against monochrome coatls never took root in the Weyr, as Benedict is completely colorblind, and doesn’t understand the issue other coatls seemed to have with each other. It also helped that Rosemary had no tolerance for such superstitions and any dragon in her domain that tried to spread it was dealt with. Hyacinth is Commander of the Watch, functionally head of the Clan's safety and security patrol, she organizes the Watch and prevents incursion from unsavory characters. Hyacinth was a wayfarer from the Twisting Crescendo whom Benedict encountered flying near the Weyr, then located in the Everbloom Gardens. He extended an offer of hospitality, which she accepted. Upon seeing the fledgling Weyr, she made several suggestions for security to the Weyr Queen, Rosemary. In Hyacinth’s travels, she had seen the devastated ruins of Clans that had been destroyed in the ever-raging battle between the Beast Clans and the various Elemental Flights. After careful consideration of the suggestions Hyacinth gave, Rosemary offered her a position as head of Weyr Security. While she initially refused, after further prodding she agreed to at least organize a rudimentary system of defense; thus began the Watch. In the end despite her repeated insistence that her position was temporary, Hyacinth became firmly rooted to both the clan and her position as Commander of the Watch. Over her tenure as Commander, she instituted a number of regulations for members of the Weyr, including mandatory training, and a minimum training level for all dragons planning to leave the borders of the Weyr for any length of time, and a boot camp specially designed for exaltees. Personality wise Hyacinth is eternally dedicated, and eternally aggravated. Despite her constantly simmering temper, she very rarely lets her wrath loose; those few who have witnessed it describe it as a tempest tearing through all in its path. She is jaded, but still strives to protect those in her charge. While her eldest three daughters elected to stay in the Weyr (becoming its strongest warriors), her other hatchlings decided after their training to fight for the Gladekeeper. While she accepts their decision, Hyacinth is frustrated by her inability to keep them safe. One of her granddaughters also elected to stay in the Weyr, and now holds the position of Spy Master.

He is an extreme feminist, which embarrasses most of his clan, but he doesn't really mind. He likes to practice magic outside in the stream beside the border of his clan, and read from his spellbook and sketching. He still keeps his clan unbelievably safe, using magic to hide the camp. And this is Pasture, the clan's official healer. She likes to sort herbs and see the smiles on dragons' faces when she makes bitter herbs taste sweet. She keeps her clan healthy and happy, and cozy. And finally, the second in command, Farant. She's strong, and refuses to let Pharaoh down. She enjoys cold days when she can stay inside and socialize, and hot days too, so she can spar and... socialize.

Around it, reality is unstable. When the Arcanist discovered the Rift, he informed the other gods of the danger it posed. Fearing yet another apocalypse, they granted a sliver of their power to a single Guardian, who used it to protect the Rift and the world around it as her Charge. When she died, the power left her and moved into another Guardian. This progression of Guardians became known as the Slayers, for their prowess at fighting. Buffy is the latest of this line, and though she leads and defends the Paradox Clan, she knows that her ultimate duty is to the Rift which lies at the heart of their territory. Kuiper was a cultist of the Shade who wished to break all of the wards upon the Rift, thus weakening Sornieth and allowing her master to break through and take this world. Her spell went awry, draining her magic. While it was not fully successful, though, it did cause disruptions in the space-time continuum, causing dragons to travel through time seemingly randomly and converging in the present day. These dragons came together in an alliance under Buffy to create the Paradox Clan. It is home to the Paradox Library, an archive of stories and research from across space, time, and realities. What's more, it hosts the Mad Scientist's Guild, an organization founded by Mab for those dragons with more... out of the box research ideas.
