The man, the myth, the legend... the wyrm himself!
Crafted through the claws of Stormcatcher himself, Rasalhague never had it easy. But his creation was... perfection. The great god of storms had been biding his time with this Ridgeback, carefully pinching off every spike with a ginger touch. The thick obsidian scales were molded one by one, the spines along his back larger than the greatest trees.
He was massive, and perfect in every way.
Rasalhague had not been finished in his creation, yet he bore so much potential. His spines were firm yet elegant. Both arms and legs were powerful enough to crush even the hardest minerals. Massive wings spread outward, the shadows it created engulfed nearby lairs in darkness. To top it off he was given bright eyes, those who look into them declare to see the Stormcatcher's own lightning nestled within if it didn't already blind you.
However there was much room for disaster.
Rasalhague grew restless in his creator's grip, writhing and tossing about like a snake. He began to slip through Stormcatcher's claws and dip down below the clouds where the rest of Sornieth glared up to face him.
The god of storms had lost his grip, and as a last and fretful resort his bony pincers launched out from his sides. They tucked against the Ridgeback's body, pressing together as to slow his descent. But the situation only grew worse.
The saw-like blades of the pincers went straight to work in slicing away Rasalhague's form. His powerful arms and legs fell away to the clouds below, and his wings drifted soon after. The Ridgeback fell for just a moment before Stormcatcher grabbed him by the tail. But the Ridgeback merely stretched and grew longer, longer, until he was too long to hold.
With an irate roar Stormcatcher dropped Rasalhague, and the skies shook with thunder and lightning as they never had before. The Ridgeback screamed as he fell, disowning his creator for being so careless until his voice became hoarse and sour.
The earth rattled from the force of his landing, and thus was the creation of the wyrm we know of today.
At least that's what the legends say.
