He's always been basic/basic/thylacine. He's stayed basic (and will always stay basic) for sentimental reasons & because the Thylacine looks much better contrast wise with no genes! [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=27570884] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/275709/27570884_350.png[/img] [/url] I've tried scrying Tuxtla here with primaries and while he actually looks quite nice with Bar, Jaguar or Python, ultimately I'm too lazy to change him when plain basic still looks good. [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=27997038] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/279971/27997038_350.png[/img] [/url] Though you can't really see it under all the apparel, Sinope is also basic primary! Most other primaries become kind of busy, so the plain maize looks really nice. I like the simplicity and contrast!

Because of his coloring, he looks great in apparel that others can't pull off. His official title in the clan is "Crimson the Clothesbearer, wielder of the Flameforger's apparel, first of the accented, long may he live."

He’d actually look fantastic in a number of genes but I’m in no rush to change him as of yet *shrug* Then I have these two G1 Noc boys [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=38328692] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/383287/38328692_350.png[/img] [/url] [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=38328727] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/383288/38328727_350.png[/img] [/url] I hatched them on Christmas last year and they’ve been triple basic ever since because I haven’t found a scry I’m totally happy with yet :’) (not to mention I’m poor and probably wouldn’t be able to afford the genes I want anyway, lol)

I actually really like Basic, just depends on the dragon. Sometimes genes change a color too much, and Basic stays truest to the look I'm after, or it just really makes other genes pop. The Red Bull is from my The Last Unicorn [url=http://www1.flightrising.com/forums/drs/1547065/1]fandragon project[/url]. I removed his primary because it was a case of the color being truest that way. [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=27044569] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/270446/27044569_350.png[/img] [/url] Falkor is a fandragon from The Neverending Story. The luckdragon is true white but for pearly scales, and so Basic was the only solution. [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=39883732] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/398838/39883732_350.png[/img] [/url] And Ciabhan is my triple denim beauty, but denim is a hard color to coordinate across genes because they change it so much. In this case, I think a Basic primary really makes the Thylacine stand out perfectly.
