While Eriek deals with the clan's spiritual side, Votrika is the matriarch and ruler in practical and political matters. She's a respected leader, firm but fair and capable to take even the hardest of decision. Her proud stance and strength belies her age, and it's rumored through the clan that she's been gifted immortality. While the clan's loyalty has shifted and they have since moved to the Scarred Wasteland, Votrika still carries her shadowy origins clearly. One would think her unfit for life in the Wasteland, unwilling to adapt and submit to the lands, but truth is she simply carries Mother's contagion in a more discreet manner.

Sheelon was the product of one of these liaisons, and after being given the standardized education, he was sent out to figure out his own life. Now, Narra and Sheelon's first meeting was an encounter of two dragons from entirely different backgrounds. One had been raised in the very heart of the flight, while the other had spent her first years scavenging the refuse at the edge of civilization. It would have been understandable if they'd clashed, and their meeting certainly wasn't easy. In the end though, both of the dragons found the other's experiences to be complementary to their own, and they struck out together. Narra and Sheelon eventually made their home in the edge of the Carrion Canyon, in a large table hill called the Shatterclaw Mesa (technically a butte, but telling people you live in one gets far too many giggles). The founding of a clan is a dangerous operation. A dragon or a pair can roam with little care, but in a clan there are suddenly nests and territory that need defending. Fledgeling clans rarely have the numbers to keep everything secure while still gathering enough food. This too was the case with the clan of the Shatterclaw Mesa. Beastmen were rarely friendly with the dragons even before uniting into the Beastclans, and the harpies of the Carrion Canyon nurse a very deep grudge towards the Lightning Flight. An ill-defended lair was an opportunity they didn't let pass. As the clan founders were out, the beastfolk gethered their numbers, raided the lair, and stole the three eggs laid within. The founder's rage was the stuff of legends. Narra spent days raining lightning and destruction of harpy clans up and down the canyon, frantically searching for her eggs and venting her frustration at her failure in turns. As time passed and the possibility of success dwindled to nothing, Narra finally gave up her search and returned to the lair to grieve. Narra has never spoken of her feelings, but it is clear the loss haunts her to this day. Perhaps the clan mother remembers her own beginning as a clanless hatchling. Whatever the case, Narra's hatred for the beastmen is virulent like a plague from the Wyrmwound, and it definitely colours the clan's interactions with the beast species ever since. After returning from her purge of harpy clans, Narra took up guarding the nesting chambers as her duty. Every egg in the lair is her Charge, and gods have mercy on anyone who tries to harm them. Narra eventually gave up clan leadership to be better able to care for the young. It took years for Narra to leave the lair again, but as the clan has expanded and established itself, she has started to make short, careful forays to the outside world. It might be that the founder is finally making peace with her loss, but it remains to be seen what this means for the clan's future.

Clan founder: Narra

Narra was born alone. It is unknown what happened to her parents or clan, but she hatched near the shores of the Sea of a Thousand Currents, her egg cradled in loose cables and heated by the warmth of a wastewater pipe. It was not the most auspicious of beginnings, and she keenly remembers it to this day.

Narra's first friends were a flock of Storm Seekers. The young dragon and the birds developed a mutually beneficial relationship, where the birds served as extra eyes and watch keepers and got to enjoy the remains of the Guardian's meals. The descendants of this flock are still on the outer walls around the clan hold, and they are considered allies by the clan. Young dragons of the clan often receive a stormcrow as their first familiar.

As the party made its way toward the centre of the Shifting Expanse, they started encountering more dragons and other clans. Narra was sheltered and taught the ways of the Lightning Flight by helpful clans, but she did not feel her place was among them. This changed when Narra met Sheelon.

Sheelon - at the time a Guardian - was a child of two exalted dragons. Servants of the gods technically relinquish all ties to their lives before, but internship is stressful and sometimes the urge for companionship gets the upper hand.

This is his story.

Dishonored, Erised now wears masks, not wanting his face to be seen.
However, he is not yet defeated. He will win. One day, Bartimej and all imperials will be banned from his clan.
