Forgetful more than the average tundra, he's always forgotten the face and sometimes the scent of his friends even within a few days. Always regretful of this issue, he began to freeze things. At first it was little reminders of things that his friends would give him, curling around them in the night to love on them. But these proved not to be a good way to remember, for he would still forget who had given him what, faces and scents slipping off into the night. Soon, he began to freeze those who came to stay the night. Some would be caught up in huge blocks, none were safe from his attempts to remember. Even this macabre process proved ineffective, he would forget their names and their voices, but he could at least curl among them. There was something in him that unsettled any he crossed paths with and increasingly he was left to sleep alone in his own permanent frozen state. Though he couldn't have any idea of the knowledge, there was something different about him. Aquilo was dead and frozen, born that way only to be brought through the egg by the sheer force of the ice magic that had built within the frozen shell. His parents, fearing the safety of the clan and those who might look at them, drove him away from their icy home wanting to protect the family from their wayward child. Even the Ice denizens would not look kindly upon what was happening if they knew what the child had done. His flight from the clan was marked by frozen monuments, trinkets and dragons alike were frozen as he went northward, landing in the Windswept Plateau. Perhaps word of his deeds had spread, or perhaps there was simply an aura around him that warned away others, sending them scrambling in the other direction as he lumbered along wings too frozen to truly fly. Ice formed in his wake, lasting for days despite hot weather and ever lasting warm breezes coming from the heat of the Ashfall Wastes. How he was accepted into the Passus Canorous isn't really known. Some say he froze a guard to get in, some say they accepted him only because he was needed. Either way, Aquilo now occupies the deepest part of the lair, in the most abandoned of the sections of tunnels. Hatchlings and Adults alike avoid his tunnels, which are only traveled by the very sick or very old. Here, he is allowed to freeze the dead and dying, those who wish to find an eternal sleep instead of a painful end. He's made it an art to freeze them so they look the way they want, and in return... he gets to keep his friends.

She collects rare seeds and is particularly fond of plants that bloom at night or those that glow. She has cultivated these bio-luminescent varieties and has placed them throughout the enormous lair which comprises the Enclave, creating a delicate, natural ambient light. It is magical and dragons from around Sornieth sometimes ask to visit the Enclave to experience the unusual glowing plants. Like many members of the Enclave, Caladwen is troubled. She experienced many bad things as a hatchling and for much of her early life felt an emptiness she could not shake. She never had a mate nor did she want one, and though she enjoys being among other dragons, she much prefers caring for plants and being among them. The gardens provide a peaceful sanctuary for everyone who desires to spend time within its sheltered groves.

Does the founder of the Mysterious Bird Cult even exist, or is she myth become legend? No one else in the clan knows, and none of the Skydancers is saying. There is that one cave, though, that the hatchlings claim to have seen strange lights from, and the grinding of bone against bone, as though something not quite alive was moving and rustling. The grownups, of course, always insist that it's just the nochnyrs...

It's taken on many forms and has lived many lives and now rests within the Imperial you see before him. He has wisdom beyond his years and many seek his counsel in matters of life. However, he does not give up his knowledge willingly - each one that strikes a deal must offer a fraction of their soul. This gives him the ability to divine the truth within that dragon and it also allows him to continue existing beyond each mortal form.
