oo the ancient one of my clan is definitely Obsidium. She lives in the darker recesses of the lair, camouflaging herself in the shadows, so appearing translucent at times. Her scales flicker with her breathing in a blue bioluminescence. Unfamiliar dragons aren't even sure if she's real, or just a figment of their imagination. The walls echo when she speaks, adding to her metaphysical presence :D Young dragons who explore too far in the tunnels will be in for a surprise! She's not a village elder/shaman/old wise one or anything fancy.

No one knows if this is due to his innate Arcane magick or due to his time spent keeping himself fit in the coliseum. Regardless, many newcomers to Terrepaix are surprised to discover the Ridgeback’s age.

He's usually out and about, observing what the younger dragons are doing, and sometimes even joining in. He is an experienced artist himself, and enjoys playing with the hatchlings who love to doodle and helping out budding artists.

When his friend and mate, Spanx, decided to found a clan herself, Charlemagne took Spanx's clan as his charge. However, as time passed, things changed. She started doing things without him, things he didn't agree with; still, her clan was his charge, and he had to go along. As Spanx's leadership got worse, Charlemagne felt worse about supporting her. He didn't want to publicly support her, but as long as she considered herself the leader, he had to protect his charge. Rather than face the rebelling clan's wrath, he retreated into the woods. Today, he interacts with the clan only from afar. He awaits the day when Spanx names a new leader so he can return to the proud guardian of the clan he once was. Until then, he's something of a friendly ghost story. Stray too far from camp, and Charlemagne will lead you home.

None really had the chance to get to know him since most are too afraid to approach, intimidated by his odd aura and his jarring appearance.

He was born when dragons were still new, when the gods still looked upon their creations with more than passing glances. He served under the Gladekeeper, but his valiant deeds and skills in battle earned him the blessing of the Lightweaver, gilding parts of his scales gold. Unfortunately, he was almost slain in a battle with an Emperor, and the Gladekeeper hid him underground and wreathed him in spells to let him heal. There, he was forgotten. He awoke who knows how long later, either healed, golden, or skeletal in patches. The healing magic worked on him for too long, growing him to a massive size of over six hundred feet. He burst from the earth and demanded that the Gladekeeper answer his summons, but she did not respond, and he fled, eventually finding refuge with a Lightning clan who promised to help feed his enormous stomach if he promised to protect them as he used to. Now he tells tales of the ancient times to those who ask, and is willing to talk to anyone who will take time out of their day for him.

He bides his time now living in the deepest parts of the lair, where the rocks shimmer with molten cores and most other dragons find themselves uncomfortable with the heat. Xyrkain spends his days as a blacksmith, though from time to time he'll crawl out of his hole to spend time with the youngest of the clan and educate them on their history. He's my progen and he's over 4 years old. What an old fart.
