I got 2 upgrades. Not only did I finally get a Wildclaw hatchling, but it also got Glimmer! No more spines! I can't believe how lucky it was to get both upgrades on the same hatchling. Yay! But, its even more difficult to find a mate now that I have 2 of the 3 final genes and the breed I want. The colors are a little farther off this round because of not being able to find a mate close enough to where I want to end up. I bought a mate already, but I will look for something better. =D

Okay, so I know there haven't been any updates in a while and thats because very little has been happening with my Challenge, at the same time there has been a lot going on with it. LOL So to try to explain the crazy, behind-the-scenes stuff here is a few things that have been going on: • So I found a mate and bred [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&id=11793&tab=dragon&did=36319285]MonarchSeaXIX[/url]. But the resulting hatchlings were so far off, I felt like if I used them, it would be a huge step backwards, so I decided to keep her and find a new mate and try again. • At the same time I was breeding [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&id=11793&tab=dragon&did=36076942]MonarchSeaXVIIb[/url]. She was an offspring from the third nesting of [url=http://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/33518997]MonarchSeaXVI[/url], in an attempt to speed up my challenge. LOL I've kept her all this time, breeding her, trying to get the color combo I've been aiming for. She has had several nests, some close, but none successful. • And also, I bought a mate for a [url=http://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/35502287]WC (SunSea),[/url] donated to me to use as a mate in my challenge. She never worked out as a mate for an heir, but I decided to breed her in the hopes of creating a suitable mate for [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&id=11793&tab=dragon&did=36319285]MonarchSeaXIX[/url], as the AH is severely limited in WC with close colors that are not related to my Heirs. Her pairings produced [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=38015751]SunBay[/url] who became the mate to [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&id=11793&tab=dragon&did=36319285]MonarchSeaXIX[/url]. So if you aren't completely, totally lost, that brings us to the current Heir and his mate. So it turns out MonarchSeaXX is far enough removed from MonarchSeaXVIIb that they can be mates! So my 2 diverging lines are now coming together. I have decided that MonarchSeaXVIIb is going to be a keeper dragon and I want to give her Shimmer and a WC scroll. I may do this before they breed, just because if I am going to spend the money on gems scrolls, I might as well take advantage of them in the breeding so I can finally finish this project. Which, in case anyone is interested, is almost at its 2 year mark. Feb 8th will be 2 years to be exact. =D I know its not entirely in line with the Challenge rules, but honestly, 2 years and I am ready to get my lair space back and to move on to other projects. LOL And besides, its my challenge and I can make or break the rules as I wish. He got Spinner and Circuit and I was hoping for Shimmer and Glimmer, but I am happy. @HSoup CONGRATULATIONS! That's so exciting - he is perfect and beautiful. I can't believe you've been doing this for two years, really impressive! What are your plans for The Chosen One? Regene him? Breed him? Or just keep him as-is as a trophy? ^^

@KingOfThePark - Thank you! I gave him Shimmer because he just looks perfect with it. He will definitely be a perma in my lair. I worked too long to get him to not keep him forever. LOL Besides, I really do love him and that was the goal of the challenge. I think I might breed him too, eventually, if I find a good match. =D
