Welcome to the Crystal cavern, previously a set of tunnels dug into a large crystal spine, now a sprawling community of anthill-style tunnels in multiple crystal spines connected by thick suspension bridges to aid the grounded and those who simply prefer to walk. Because of our size, we try to help nearby smaller clans set themselves up, in exchange for allegiance and friendship we will provide resources and some helping claws to make your lair as comfortable as we can. Its most notable feature is the chalcedony statue of a serpent missing its wings, though the founders of the clan who designed and helped carve the statue say it originally had very small wings that have since flown far off, it is fractured and floating above, and signals newcomers to the main hub of the clan, a tall spine with multiple bridges running through it. There is a particularly large hole slightly above the others, a gaping entrance for even the largest of dragons, it leads down into a central cave with a top-down map of the area and a notice board of how this clan is run;

 • All are welcome in this clan whether you stay for a night or forever, as long as you don't cause purposeful harm to us or ours we care for
 • If you find yourself lost in a tunnel don't worry as we have dragons patrolling the caverns to make sure anyone lost is helped
 • Our naming system is based on social standing which only has two rungs, and doesn't affect anything but how much sway your voice holds, those of high standing have singular names, though those wishing to live with us needn't adopt our system
 • IMPORTANT: Any dragons who are experiencing the mana-sickness the chalcedony brings please see either Invidia or Starblight (pictured below) to receive an enchanted piece of apparel that will halt the effects until you build up a resistance

Six large tunnels, five of which lead to a dragonmade bridge, are seen from the center of the cave, opposite the large notice board. To the right, a tunnel with a sign above it reads 'Hibernal den'. To the far left a similar tunnel, this sign reads 'Whelp shelter', besides it yet another tunnel labeled with the signs 'Visitors rest' and 'Living quarters'; The tunnel in between has no sign but is decorated with beads on strings, and paintings on the walls, you learn this is the tunnel leading to the hatchery. From the central hub, you can travel to any given area by paw or wing:

A small field with overgrowing grass, two rather dark-looking dragons having a nice picnic eagerly wave at you as you land, a pack of three mirrors runs in front of you, being chased by a blindingly bright fourth. Many a dragon come to the tavern before heading to their respective rooms, you can see: people laughing and cheering, singing along with the music, helping themself to the bowl of drink, ordering and eating meals at their tables, people playing darts with the dartboard who proceed to get chewed out by Phantomdancer when someone inevitably hits the macrame pieces he's decorated the walls with. Walking through the back door, or around the side of the building, leads you to a beautiful flower garden, multitudes of magic-safe flowers are tended to by Gleamhorn, who is very proud of breeding magic safe plants. The nesting area is in a cave a few paces from here in the same spine, to make absolutely certain no ready-to-hatch eggs get hurt in the transportation to the nursery. While new arrivals have to undergo a sort of test for a week to assess whether they're safe to be near the whelps, no one thus far has failed and all are allowed to play with the whelps with permission from parents if present or Licorice in their absence. Once he hears you walk in he bellows a great "Welcome! My name is Licorice, and you are?" before you have time to answer: "Ah never mind that, I don't recognize you so I assume you're new? I hope you are enjoying the clan so far, I wouldn't rather be anywhere else! As much as I'd love to chat for ages, I have work to attend to so if you don't mind" and as if on cue a hatchling starts wailing from Arcanist-knows-what. 'Well, alright then' you think as you walk off to let him continue.[nextcol][columns]

The proud guardian Treasurevein looks after the hatchlings before they leave, they are kept separate from the whelp shelter in case of an argument over their looks, a problem the others weren't even aware of until multiple incidents occurred. It was unusual, especially considering the pairs don't argue in that way, the behavior has been chalked up to a 'young hatchling' thing. Looking around inside this cave, you can't help but envy the dragons who live here, but pity the dragon that had to make these decorations, you cant mass produce this level of detail... A kindly pair of light pink imperials welcome you and introduce themselves as Lerato and Amor, 'fitting' you think. As you introduce yourself to the other pairs in this cave, you can't help but stare at their colours and markings, after zoning out, the one you learn is called Skye pipes up "sweetheart, you're staring, but... I'm flattered. Really." she says with a slight laugh.[nextcol][/columns]

When dragons join the clan they get to choose where they would like to have their room; as expected there are more options for the smaller dragons due to requiring a much smaller room than others, as such, there are thinner tunnels higher up in the walls leading to theirs. As most clanmates here tend to group together most tunnels lead to a miniature 'common area' with rooms attached. The original scrapes that the clan founders Invidia and Fissure have since been further carved into fully-fledged rooms which are heavily decorated both inside and out. One very large opening is covered in growing vines, the efforts of Gleamhorn. Many, many more macrame wall hangings made by Phantomdancer are in this area, they were made to match the large woven rug in the center of the room, you've heard it took ages to make due to the fibers being woven alongside featherback boars' pelt feathers, which is an absolute mouth full to say.
