Nature Flight
Nature Flight values hard work, heritage, and the natural order. Like the plants we cultivate, we strive to find a balance between tried-and-true strategies and adaptability.
Tanglevine Concourse is a large city, but everyone here has a purpose. It is a hub of inter-flight trading, and many of the dragons here are involved with that, or with supporting those who trade. It is also the nearest population center to a world-famous tea plantation and some important Gladeveins routes. If you haven't noticed, we're situated right on the border between the Gladeveins and the Wilds, so dragons of both regions meet here.
There are a lot of my folk here as well - Wind dragons, that is. We all get along well, for the most part. Sometimes I wish these Nature dragons would lighten up a bit, but I'm sure they also wish some of us would be more serious.
We also have a fair number of Dunhoof centaurs in and out of here. They've been our allies for many generations, longer than my family has been here. There are other beastclans in the jungle - serthis, talonok, dryads and fauns - but they keep to their own territories, which are marked on this map.
Watch out for the local wildlife. Some species can be quite dangerous if you don't have experience with defending yourself. Wartoad encounters are rare but deadly.
There are also floracats, florons, kamaitachi, stranglers, janustraps and the like.
...
I was just about to head out on deliveries. Would you like to come with me and meet the folks I work with? They're not always the most social dragons, but I think they'll take a liking to you.
The rural dragons
Our first stop is... what does she call herself again? I knew her as Ruby, but since she became a seer she changed her name. Anyway, she lives with her sister Kasumi and their scribe Aqua. Kas looks after the place while Oiale works on this excellent garden of hers. And me and Aqua go way back. She's got a sharp tongue on her, but she's a good friend.
Then we'll go meet up with Acai and Yaga, the mushroom farmers. Uh... you might want to hold your nose around their property. The compost is a little intense for most folk. But I hear they grow some of the best mushrooms in the world, so if that's what it takes, more power to 'em.
Chaucer used to be in the city but he moved out here to have more space for his animals. They're quite a handful, but he trains them well, so none of them will hurt you. He gets a lot of plants shipments.
Skadi would be difficult to find if he didn't already know me. I mean, I can walk quietly but this guy is silent. I once sat with him and I swear he didn't move or blink for two hours.
Verna is a little goofy but she's a sweetheart. She's more of a hunter-gatherer type, and you'll see her gathering plants all up and down the Gladeveins. She comes to the city every now and again. I don't know where she gets her money from. Rumor has it that she helped Lusi find some treasure once and hasn't run out since, but I don't believe that. Anyway, Vern has a lotta great stories. It'll be hard to break away, so that's why I go to see her last, heh.
Well, that's all the deliveries I've got. There aren't many dragons out here that don't live in the city proper. The nearby land that isn't crawling with tourists is mighty inhospitable. But if you'd like to go into town, I can show you around there as well.

The Harbor
The post office is in this area. Galena is the manager, and Tora and I work there. |
Pharynx runs the scribe service, which is mostly made of up fae, veils and children. A scribe doesn't sound like something you would need very often, but they can be really handy. They'll follow you around and take notes on everything you do (unless you ask them not to for certain things), and organize it for later. Also good for when you need an extra pair of hands - banescales are the majority of customers, but you'll always get dragons through here who don't know when to stop shopping. Muru is their latest recruit, always happy to help. |
| This is a spa, The Tranquil Zalis, owned by Andal and his daughter Capra. Not my cup of tea, but the tourists love it. |
That's Solan's joint, Sovereign Tours. I'd stay away from there if I were you. I mean, he's not gonna hurt you, he's just a weirdo. |
Bank / moneychanger
Taxi/rickshaw equivalent?
Boats in and out
Guilds?
Main Street
That's Badrach's Forge, where you can get some quality ironwork done if you need it. That's how we get most of the centaur traffic through here. |
Dazzle Tattoos, owned by Razz |
Regulus runs (bookstore), and insists that other book-sellers stay close by for organization's sake, which puts him right next to the concourse. |
Tanglevine Concourse
Mom
Dad
| These two dragons are grocers. |
Sedge sells scrolls and books from the Sunbeam Ruins with the latest research. |
Pyrite sells things from Keloran. |
Lusi, an adventurer and writer, is a common sight around here. |
