@lovestrucksmile - Thankyou!!
I guess on the topic of watercolour being hard to pick up, I... ended up learning it with the little water colour pencils? I didn't touch the paints for a good year. I found the pencils easier to work with when I was starting, because you typically never have to worry about soaking the paper through and stabbing a hole in it.
You don't even need to use water colour paper with the pencils (which means it's less expensive) - I filled a whole sketchbook with that stuff. But, since you're still using the brush and a very very small amount of water, you're still learning the technique - just with less cost or risk.
Even when I was using the pencils, I didn't think they'd have any relation to watercolor haha. Art can be strange like that.

I'm not sure I've heard of watercolour brush markers - can you link me? They sound something like those copics that you can blend together, but I'm not sure. I've made some very small things with my watercolour but the water can get unpredictable with the pigments if I go too small, haha.
Watercolour pencils are usually a bit on the crumbly and delicate side - since you don't use them as a pencil (not if you're using the brush, anyway). Scribble some colour onto a piece of paper, layer it up a bit, then use the brush to put a bit of water on it, and it turns into paint that you can then use on your piece. Here's a video on that. :0

sorry for the late (got lost in my pings) reply but here is a set similar to what ive got!
its basically just a marker pen with watercolour pigment inside and theres another pen you fill with water which helps with being precise.
